As long as you know how to use stainless steel kitchen utensils and how to maintain them, this will be a great purchase.

I've been using this pan for nearly a year now and it's become my favorite piece of cookware. I also bought two sauce pans from the Cooks Standard line and they perform amazingly well. I own or have owned other SS pans from some of the top rated and most expensive brands and this pan does everything they can do and hasn't warped a bit which is more then I can say for some of the others. It's stainless, not nonstick, so you need to learn how to effectively cook with it utilizing oil, temperature control, and time. It takes time, but once you master it, you'll never go back to nonstick.

I was on the fence about buying a stainless steel pan due to a few bad experiences, most likely due to my being an inexperienced cook at the time. I definitely didn't want to spend a ton of money in case I had the same sticky bad luck, even now with a lot more cooking under my belt. My wife, an awesome, experienced cook, was also leery having had bad experiences etc. Well, I am so glad I put those fears behind me and bought this. I've had it for a month or so and have seared/cooked everything from burgers to scallops to hanger steaks with a shallot based pan sauce. It has worked incredibly well. Heats quickly and evenly. No sticking whatsoever. Easy to clean. I can't recommend this highly enough for the price. It's exactly what I wanted and hoped it would be
