Great purchase!
We love this dryer. We live in Michigan and have two young kids. Before we bought the dryer, we would have 3 pairs of gloves for each kid, so if they went outside in the snow twice in a day, we'd have an extra set of gloves. We'd put the used set in the clothes dryer, but it never really gets the inside of the gloves dry, and then they start to smell funky. Plus they don't keep fingers warm when they start out wet.But this dryer solved all that. Put the gloves on the dryer for 30 minutes with heat, and they are dry. Now each kid has one pair of gloves, and when they come in for a snack, we throw them on the dryer and they are good to go in 30 minutes. Also works great for shoes, boots, socks, ski boots, and ski helmets. We go for a weekend ski trip a few times a year with two other couples (6 adults, 6 kids). First time we brought this with us, everyone wanted to use it. Our friends like it so much, they bought one themselves. Now when we come in from a day of skiing, we just rotate all the gloves and boots on each dryer for 30-45 minutes that evening, and the next day everyone has warm, dry gloves and boots to start the day off.We actually use this year round now. Works great for rainy days when shoes get wet. Or when shoes get muddy playing in the yard, you just hose them off and put them on the dryer. Another great use is for sports shoes. Our daughter has soccer practice twice a week, plus a game on the weekends. We put her cleats on the dryer after each use and no stinky cleats. I use them for my own cleats and gym shoes. No smelly shoes. It's been working great or almost two years now. Now that we have one, I can't see being without one. If you have kids and snow (or even sports), do yourself a favor and buy this. You won't regret it.

Awesome Boot, Shoe, and Glove Dryer!
I recently ruined a pair of $250 boots while hunting early season when I had to cross a creek that was almost up to my knees. I didn't take the time to properly dry the boots after using them, and days later they had a heavy smell of mildew. I've washed them, and treated them with various products but couldn't get the smell out. So I purchased another pair and set out to find a good boot dryer that was easy to use and fast (i.e. doesn't take 24hrs to dry). I started with another dryer that used heated ambient air, but returned it due to the amount of time it took to dry things. I then purchased the MaxxDry Boot dryer due to the fact that it blows the heated air using a fan which drastically decreases drying time. You even have the choice to select non-heated air as an additional option. Well this dryer works great! So well that I purchased one for my brother who loves his. I have 18" snake boots that fit fine on this dryer without having to purchase the wader extensions. I now even use it on my running shoes to draw out moisture after I exercise. It really keeps all of my shoes fresh and de-oderized. Well worth the price! If you are looking for a great boot, shoe, or glove dryer then pick this one up. You'll be happy that you did!

Great for drying neoprene gloves and booties
I use this to dry my windsurfing booties and gloves. I use 5 mm neoprene gloves and 7 mm booties, both of which have fabric inside and are impossible to dry by just hanging them. Even after a week they are still wet in the toe or the finger tips. Leaving them hang leads to "neoprene funk" which is disgusting and It is also very unpleasant to step into wet booties and gloves when you go out for windsurfing sessions on subsequent days. The MaxxDry is able to completely dry my booties and gloves at the same time in two 3 hr sessions. When I come out of the water, I rinse my gloves and booties with fresh water and hang them soaked and dripping over the Maxxdry. I have a towel underneath to catch all the dripping water. I wait about an hour so that most of the water has dripped off them and then start the first cycle on "warm" and later in the day I repeat, or sometimes I just use the "cold" setting. My booties and gloves are completely dry after the second session. Because the booties go up the calf quite a bit, I use the boot extensions that come with the unit. I never used a glove attachment but just put my gloves on the smaller prongs in the front of the unit. I run it in a bedroom that I do not use. It makes a very subdued sound, kind of like a white noise generator. I cannot hear that once I leave the room, even with the door open.I highly recommend this dryer for watersports. It is pretty low tech, with a fan and an air warmer, so I expect it to last many seasons.

Great value
This thing works great! I work outside in Oregon and bought this at the height of rainy season. You can set this to run for up to 90 minutes, and I've never had anything take that long to dry. I have literally dunked my entire boots in water and had them dry on here amazingly quickly. Heated or non-heated air comes out through each of the 4 boot hangers, plus air comes out of the center to dry the outsides of your boots/socks/hats/gloves. I am really glad I sprung for the model with space for 4 boots. Between shoes, socks, hats, gloves, and whatever other rain gear, all 4 slots were usually used daily this past winter. This is really a must-have if you live in a rainy or snowy climate and like to go outside at all. It felt like an extravagance when I purchased it, but has ended up being so useful in our rainy climate.Another nice thing about this boot dryer is that it is much quieter than I expected. It's also pretty lightweight and takes up minimal space.
