Unbeatable performance for the price
This processor is niche in the fact that it belongs to a socket primarily intended for AMD's trinity series APUs, and the fact that it doesn't have an integrated graphics solution may put some using the FM2 socket off. This is however a very powerful processor for £60, and given that it is a black edition processor, there is a lot of scope to overclock the already respectable 3.4ghz (and turbo frequency of 4gz) speed. Despite the fact there is no level 3 cache, the performance of this processor is comparable to an i3, which is considerably more expensive, so this would be an ideal solution for any budget gaming system.

amazing cpu
this is a great cpu.I purchased this in order to upgrade my computer and it is amazing. Everything runs a lot faster now with this cpu compared to the pentium d which i used to have. This cpu probably has more power than i am ever going to require ,but it is just nice to know that i have that power if i ever need it.I would recommend this cpu as being a good cpu for anyone who wants a decent amount of power for a decent price

Supremely capable
Now I got this due to the insane price point and for its virtualization capabilities (The sweetly priced AsRock FM2A55M-DGS motherboard has IOMMU support for next to no money, hint hint). I didnt go for any APU as I had a discrete card spare for OpenCL pruposes and I'm extremely happy to report a few things:-These are EXTREMELY cool running. With an air temperature of ~20C this CPU doesnt hit much above 40C on full load for hours at a time on the stock heatsink - so any overclocker out there: this is one mental bargain.-These CPUs are very competitive, looking at some benchmarks these seem to be within a few percent points of an i3-3220 (i mean neck and neck). But this is much cheaper on its own - and the boards are dirt cheap also.-The 100W TDP is a lie. A very very very big lie. Given the core temperatures and the load from the socket (I have a GPU, a few disk drives and some other miscellaneous peripherals connected) I'd be surprised if the system munches much more than 120W on full load (under 40 at idle). No solid solid tests but this runs ice cool and the PSU fan is always idle. And that psu is only a couple hundred watts.TLDR: Now that FM2 is being superseded by FM2+ these parts are really DIRT cheap and really very much adequate for anything you can throw at them. Absolutely amazing value!

Budget CPU but not the best.
This is a decent CPU thou it can not keep up with AAA games in 2014 onwards really, it will bottleneck most new GPU'sIts fine if you just play small indie games or rather old RPG games like Oblivion and such or just browse the web.If you want to hardcore game do not get this, get an i5 4460 or i7 4790K

Requires discrete graphics card
Requires discrete graphics card. I wish I had known this before I built the PC and starred at a blank screen for half an hour until I realized this CPU does not support on board graphics. I had to go out and buy a £30 graphics card. I could have bought an FX 6300 CPU with 50% more power and pocketed the £9 change instead.Edit 16/01/2015This CPU is still going strong but the motherboard has failed. I think the graphic display I issued was due to the rubbish motherboard not the CPU. I'll give it an extra star for outliving the motherboard.

Very Satisfied
Since installation I haven't had any problems with performance. Played heavy games and still good.Good and careful packing (that was one of the things that I was more worried about). Arrived in perfect condition. If I had to buy any other thing from this seller, I will!

Great and cheap
This is a great CPU I used in my first build and have used it in most of my others since! It is very cheap for what you get. I overclocked mine to 4ghz and it is very fast for what you pay

Great budget CPU!
HUGE bang for your buck here. Seems to out do my Core i3 3110M @2.4GHz in my laptop. It's not a true quad core as it only has 2 floating point modules. However it gives much much better performance than hyper threading, hence why AMD are probably marketing it as quad core.Only problem is the stock cooler. It's rather noisy. I'd recommend a Zalman CNPS5X Performa heat sink for it. It keeps it nice and cool - basically room temperature when idling. It fits micro ATX boards and fits snugly in my Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0 case.To get the correct temps, I needed to download AMD OverDrive which displays the temp difference to overheating (90C from what I guess) When idling, it gets to approx 60C away from over heat (90-60=30), so the real temp is approx 30C. When under load for 15 mins with prime 95, it gets to approx 25-35C from overheat, which means it maxes out at approx 55-65C.These checks where done when the CPU was running at 3.6GHz, undervolted to 1.10V. Turbo core was also disabled. I haven't tried overclocking properly yet though but there certainly seems to be head room. What you get in the box:CPUFan and heat sink with bracket and layer of thermal paste.STICKER!!!!!Multi language instruction booklet.Summary:For £59 you can't go wrong! Just put the money saved to a half decent cooler!

Fantastic Value - Easily Overclocks to 4.1 GHz
Overclocks to 4.1 GHz at stock voltage. Very fast. This is my first time to purchase a MSI motherboard and the cheapest one I've ever purchased, too. It worked the first time after turning on the power which is a wonderful feeling.I am able to overclock this motherboard to 4.1 GHZ using MSI's automatic overclock button. It works great. It even outperforms my other much more AMD system that is twice the cost. These are the system components I bought here on Amazon. I upgraded a HP desktop computer and all that I kept was the case and two DVD drives. I kept 4 GB of RAM from my Gigabyte system. I would suggest the RAM below if you need to buy RAM. I've run 12 GB of RAM in my older Gigabyte system and I never saw it even approach using 4 GB. So I say 4 GB of RAM is more than enough for a system like this. My Asus system has 8 GB and it is using 29% of the RAM or about 2.3 GB.Even though I'm using Windows Pro 8.1, I really don't like Windows 8 at all except for the Netflix app. This is a dedicated computer for my home theater system. I bought Star8 from Stardock on the internet for only $5 and it is worth every penny to make Windows 8 look like Windows 7. And you can easily click to switch back and forth between the two.Advanced Micro Devices AD750KWOHJBOX 100W Quad Core Graphics Processor 4.0 4Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX430)MSI Socket FM2/AMD A75/DDR3/SATA3&USB3.0/A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard FM2-A75MA-E35XFX AMD Radeon HD 6770 Graphics Card (HD677XZNFC)Windows 8.1 Pro System Builder OEM DVD 64-BitCorsair Vengeance Blue 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B)
