Good product for even better price, just slightly disappointed by the delivery
This tiny volume contains three texts from Albert Camus translated by Justin O'Brien, namely:1. Create Dangerously2. Defence of Intelligence3. Bread and FreedomNothing more to say about the book, it's got a good font size and production, all for the cheap price of 50 rupees.Just my book was slightly dirty at the top, but that's the seller's fault.

Amazing!
This book includes three essays by Camus.Camus talks about the responsibility of an artist to take a stand and not be silent. To create dangerously by speaking the truth through his art. In the other two essays, he talks about intelligence and freedom. It's a short and interesting read...Some of my favourite quotes:"Our era forces us to take an interest in it. The writers of today know this. If they speak up, they are criticized and attacked. If they become modest and keep silent, they are vociferously blamed for their silence."-"Today everything is changed and even silence has dangerous implications."-"To create today is to create dangerously."-"The doubt felt by the artists who preceded us concerned their own talent. The doubt felt by artists of today concerns the necessity of their art, hence their very existence."

Great edition.
This review is for the edition:I was unsure about the edition as it looked very tiny. The book is tiny but the font is absolutely perfect. No problem in reading it. Great edition by Penguin.

I absolutely adored this
All three speeches were fantastic. The title of the book perfectly encapsulates the first speech, with the second being the least memorable, and the most reliant of the time of its publication, but it’s still enjoyable. The third is still, like the first, incredibly relevant. Camus speaks in such an eloquent and distinct way with a nice twang of sarcasm throughout. Essential stuff if you have any interest at all on the subjects discussed.

Essential reading from one of the greatest authors of all time
As a writer I can't but stress contemporary and eternal importance of Albert Camus and any of his texts. Camus show us that he was much more than a writer, author and philosopher, he was a reluctant prophet who sensed those invisible artifacts of the past now covered by the moss of time and ages. This is essential reading from one of the greatest authors of all time.Penguin, this time in its disguise of the ''Penguin Modern'' has been at the forefront of new ideas and great literature. Excellent and thank you! I can't wait to read Danilo Kiš book in this edition as well.

A Bit Dated Now
In these three lectures, Camus deals with matters of politics and art. It’s not his most compelling material, but it’s an interesting enough short read. A bit dated now.
