Surprisingly impressive blast radius. Incredibly fun
I was incredibly surprised with the quality of this product. The spring inside is insanely powerful and the little basin that holds the gel balls is incredibly convenient to access. I used the product with yellow rubber balls and gel balls with great success. I wouldn’t expect this to particularly hurt anyone when the claymore goes off. However, the sound of the loud spring along with the onslaught of gellets catches people by surprise and creates a super memorable reaction. A couple things to note: Since the spring is so strong, it takes a pretty strong hand to hold it down to set the claymore up. You fold both sides of the spring down and raise the plastic up which can be slightly awkward and difficult. I don’t imagine most adults to struggle with this, but children under 15 may need some help. The claymores response to the remote is pretty finicky. And because the spring is so powerful, you really don’t want to attempt to open an already loaded claymore to restart the unit. I believe the setup that has had the remote work most consistent for me was to ensure the claymore/remote was powered off and on with every use. Loading with the foam/rubber balls is slightly more difficult because you need to close the claymore with the products inside. However, gel balls can be loaded in with a feeder which makes it a bit easier. Granted, you still really need to jam the gels in with your finger, it proves to be much easier. Overall, the product is great and I really enjoy having it for wars. A few caveats that make it relatively difficult to use for some age ranges. However, teens and adults will have a great time.

Fun just be careful
A little bit of a struggle to load. Comes out at high speeds. So be careful what you load into it. But works great and is a lot of fun.

Fun toy, a few complications
Fun concept, and it works! Unsure why all the marketing features little kids when it is labeled 14+.... There are some things I would redesign. 1. Put the power switch on the outside of the mechanism so you can turn it off without having to reload everything 2. The tiny pellets provided just fall out of the thing when you load them: they aren't useful and just get everywhere. If ammunition is provided, it should be bigger. I found crumpled paper to work quite well. 3. Getting the remote pairing right is difficult and the remote range is short. There's no reason for this.

Detonator does not work
I bought this product and the whenever I got it the remote doesn’t work but the pressure plate thing that you tie a string to it does work. I bought a second one and the system still does not work.

This is a toy. Temper expectations. 1 out of 3 have worked for me....
I bought these for Airsoft with a specific purpose in mind. The first unit I bought I modded with magnets (so it could stick to metal walls) and added a simple door alarm (so there was an audible noise along with the discharge). The unit modded worked for over a week of testing. Then I don't know exactly what happened but the remote stopped working. I pulled out the ol' meter to track power and the remote wasn't activating the release circuit on the board. I'm not sure how I damaged it but it's fried. Unit still works but has to be set up as a trip which no one has time for so it's a visible prop now. Bought a second unit as I still wanted to try this project. Unit didn't work out of the box and promptly returned. Was hesitant but decided to buy a third unit and try again (I still want this for games). I know more about how these work now as I pulled the first one all the way apart when it stopped working, so I was much more careful and deliberate with my modding this time and I decided to make other choices for the alarm (vibration instead of magnetic connection based). We'll see how long this one lasts. The plastic is solid. It comes with attached foldable stakes that are actually really nice (3 bolts to remove which makes unit much lighter). Battery is rechargeable but the plug is weird so you have to use the charger that comes with it. The wires are thin but should do the job and are pretty well tucked into a channel secured by hot glue. The board on the unit is not well protected and this shouldn't be used if there's any chance it could get touched by liquid/rain. The spring that pushes out the darts/gel/or BBs is surprisingly strong but the spread is NOT impressive. This is more a fun prop than a useful anti personal game trap. For the price, it's not worth it. $40 for 1 or $88 for 2 (do the math on that) is too much for what you get. Don't bother unless you have extra cash and a real hankering for it. $25-$30 would be a much better ROI. All that said, I'm generally happy with this product I just don't know how long it will last....and for a device that is supposed to have a pretty violent opening action it should be more resilient for the money.
