Buy only for children > 4 year age
My son is having lazy eye. I searched Internet for exercises. This is the first book I could find. My son is one and half year old, hence I did not find this book useful for my son. I appreciate Author for sincere efforts taken to pen down. Also I felt better when I saw other people fighting same battle for their kids. This book is only useful for children more than 4 yers of age.I suggest every body to design your own methods and exercises to do while patching. I am lucky enough that my son is using spectacle and for a time being we are using 1 % atropine in normal eye instead of patching. May god help him out.

Content is not worth the cost of the book
Most of the stuff is common sense. Any thinking parent would know that. There are just a few insights which are not obvious to most people and for that the book is not worth its cost.

Didn't know there was anything like it
Like most parents, dealing with amlyopia was completely new experience for us. This book isn't the flashiest thing ever published, but it has some very practical advise about things we could do to help our daughter deal with it and strengthen her eye.I would defintely recommend it. While there is no quick fix, and this book doesn't claim to be one, it was nice to have little bit of a feeling of control over the situation. I'm glad someone took the time to put this book together.

Bait and switch - misleading title
When I first saw this book, I thought that it would actually have activities IN THE BOOK. The book is about ideas about what kinds of activities a child who has to wear the patch could do - ideas that my doctor already suggested and ideas I really didn't need to pay someone money to tell me. If you need ideas then purchase it. If you don't need ideas and suggestions for exercises, then save your money.I am mad because the 'preview' cleverly hides the real contents of the book - a very clever ploy to have you buy it before you can actually see what you are getting... and since I live overseas, there was no way that I could have returned it in any reasonable amount of time to get a refund. I felt like I was conned into buying a book that I never would have if I was given the opportunity to leaf through it.I appreciate that the author took the time to put ideas together, but the book should be marketed as what it actually is - a collection of 45 IDEAS for lazy eye exercise.

Misleading Title
We bought this book a few weeks ago and were a little disappointed after we read through it. The Title reads "45 Lazy Eye Exercises" but I feel that it would be correct to rename it "General Tips and every day games for your child while patching". The book list out 8 general tips on how to encourage patching and 45 coloring, drawing and other Games or actives while patching". I would not index or list out the tip and games as they are so simple and obvious that would be a total give away. That would be unfair to the author who has made the effort and taken the time to put some thoughts together. In short don't expect some medically explained exercise that can help your child but a list of every day games that you can do with your child while he/she patches.
