Please download a software called CPUID.. it is free.. pls install and check tabs under MEMORY and SPD. The rams must have the following identical things for it to work:1. It must have the same frequency or the clock speed(1333, 1600 MHz) found in the Memory section. In this you will get half the clock speed. Example if your RAM is 1600 MHz, it will show as 800Mhz. 2. The new RAM must have the same latency as the existing one i.e. it must be either 3-4-4-8, 5-5-5-15, 7-7-7-21, 9-9-9-24 or 11-11-11-28. Make sure the ram you intend to buy has the same latencies as the one installed on your motherboard. This you will get in the SPD section. The latency details for the new RAM will be given on their website.If the clock speed and latencies match, you can go ahead and purchase as both will be SODIMM RAMs operating at 1.35V.
