I am extremely impressed with the quality. Very inexpensive with wood handles, and the blades are extremely sharp.

I liked how sharp these are and I know they’ll last me for a lifetime.Very smooth to use and I only recommend adults use these. Storage is annoying though as there is barely room to close the case and I’m afraid of cutting myself when putting the into the elastic holders. Look and feel great though.

I really wanted to love this set, but I found that it couldn’t meet my pumpkin carving needs. The cutting tools are well-made. The blades are rigid, serrated, and have a full tang. They feel very solid and they cut well. The carving tools, however, only go about an inch into their wooden handles and during carving one of the blades slipped out, almost slicing my finger in the process. The carving tools resemble those used with clay and they don’t seem quite appropriate for a material as firm as a pumpkin.In addition, while these blades and the scoop are excellent and make larger coarse cuts a breeze, I found that I need a narrow serrated blade for more of my detailed cuts around they eyes or mouth. In addition, the blades were a bit too long to effectively use for some of the 3D work I wanted to attempt. Maybe I wanted too much in one set, but I found that for the fine details, another set was actually much more useful to me than this one.Overall, not a bad value and those blades are well-made at this price point. This just didn’t suit my needs. Thank you, Amazon, for an easy return.

This kit is okay. It worked fine but we had two of the sculpting tools break. The carving knives were fine though. I'm thinking we might not have thinned the walls out enough for the sculpting tools.

I was skeptical at first because I've bought a few carving sets in the past that quickly broke or didn't work at all. However, pumpkin carving was a breeze with these tools. I also wanted this set because I enjoy sculpting in a variety of mediums (mainly clay or plaster) and I already know these tools will handle the job (this kit contains so many detailing tools). It's worth the price!

Full disclosure--I am not a professional pumpkin carver. I think my Cheshire cat carving is evidence of that. I purchased this kit because I was tired of the standard "toothpick" that comes in kits at most grocery stores. 8 tools for under 20 dollars seemed like a steal. I was shocked by the quality and sharpness of these tools. I never struggled to carve my design, and I was never worried that the tools were going to bend or break. The large round tool with serrated edges was perfect for scooping everything out of the pumpkin. Grabbing those seeds has never been easier!They will slip as your hands get dirty, so I would recommend wearing gloves. All in all, I think this is a quality product--especially for the price. If you're looking to try something a little more unique with your pumpkin carving--this is the right purchase for you.

Solid and comfortable design. I have only used cheaper plastic tools before...this took about half the time. Delighted.
