This is the 2nd unit we have purchased to replace failed Yale locks. Direct replacements. Working fine. To be fair, the Yale locks worked for 40 years. A small tab broke off the cast bolt. Given my age now. I don't need 40 years to achieve a lifetime warranty.

The material is sturdy n smooth, it fit perfectly, oh n it looks great , the installation was fast n easy bcuz I’m used to installing these locks on my door for yrs. Replacement was necessary. My one was done. I highly recommend this product, it’s worth it! Ty 😊

My lock from years ago stopped working . I bought this and it fits up perfectly with the old one ! I did not have to use it all or drill into my door . I love that the company knows they have a good product and still produces the same item . Life is good

Well i went cheap and didn't get burned. If you are looking at Yale style locks and dont want a knock-off that will be impossible to service or get spare keys, try this instead! Much cheaper, and fairly easy to install. Takes Kwickset style keys. For $5, Lowes was able to rekey the cylinder to match my existing home keys. Yes it's made in china but it's not a bad product, Although the cylinder housing is cast, the lock cylinder is machined not cast. Plus unlike some of the "Yale" Locks, this one has the "L" shaped Jamb latch. To cover the face and side of door jamb. Only negative; the jamb latch comes with short screws and screw holes are not off-set. Solution, use existing screws on side Facing you (perpendicular to plane of door), and get longer screws for face (facing the door). Long enough to go into studs beyond the door jamb. You will need to mortise the door jamb, and trim for proper fitment, easy with hand chisel set and small hammer. Just go slow and check fitment as you go. Measure twice, cut once!

I had a need to pass local home inspection and my 35+ year old double cylinder lock wouldn't pass. So, I bought this with the hope I could just replace the inside piece and leave the other older existing parts installed. Got the lock, unscrewed four screws that hold the lock in place and viola, it fit perfectly! Old key and strike mechanism were fine to work with the new inside lock that now has a code compliant knob to lock and unlock the door. Couldn't be happier!
