Micro Innovations MM760M Mini Microphone 3.5MM Jack Ultra Portable/Plug-n-Play

Before I say anything else, allow me to note that the mic I received appeared to have the same product information, but does not look *exactly* like what is pictured here. The stem is a little thicker and the right angle joint looks less like a hinge and more like a tube pointed toward the connection. This seems to make no difference in performance.I picked up this mic for gaming since I'd just bought a new desktop without any peripherals. So far, I've had no issue with it and it seems to pick up sound fairly well. Occasionally, another player will tell me they can't hear me, but this is usually a result of having my speakers also playing and a little too loud.It's truly plug and play as well. No setup and no software.It's a good buy if you need something quick and easy.

I bought this mike because I wanted an omnidirectional microphone that didn't need its own power supply, and I was not disappointed.Looking at the picture, the quality seems to be a little sketchy, but the item I received must be an updated higher-quality version. It also seems to be quite a bit larger than the mike shown in the photo. Also, the mike in the photo looks like it might have a swivel that would allow you to adjust the microphone, but the one I received is L-shaped. No big deal, because it's omnidirectional.I tested the microphone with a couple of Olympus VN-series digital audio recorders, and the sound quality was much better than the recorders' built-in mikes. I also confirmed that it is, in fact, omnidirectional.The only downside that I found is that they are much more sensitive to noises made by handling the digital audio recorders--tapping or thumping on the cases, etc.--this is no big deal if you plan to plug it into your laptop, but if you plan to plug it into something that you will be carrying around then it could be a bit of a concern.All in all, it's a nice good-quality microphone that produces nice good-quality sound. Oh, and no batteries required!

bought this to use for win10 for communicating with "cortana" i'm sorry to say that i couldn't get it to work. however i have a portable batterypowered guitar amp the i added this to and made myself a workable pa system

I thought I needed a external Mic for a song recognition program. I later found out the program worked fine without it(Tunatic). It didn't cost much, & I now have it on hand in case the need arises for a external mic. Amazon service was great as always.

This does NOT work with an iphone. Doesn't matter if it showed up in your search, it doesn't do anything when plugged into an iphone. However, the company was very prompt with their service.

I got it to augment my sound quality on my video clips it did not approve the quality are the pick up very well okay for the price

I wanted to use this for a camera I have but it has a lot of static - can still pick up sound though.
