Stylistics Castro Storage Bench, 47" x 18" x 20", Brown

I cannot give enough praise! This bench is beyond gorgeous!It is the high quality that I hoped for. It is incredibly sturdy, beautifully crafted, and so handy.The lid is hefty (which is exactly what I wanted). And the interior is stunningly spacious. Right now, we have all of our board games tucked in here! And, the really cool thing is that the bottom of the chest is a perforated metal, so there is ample air circulation. Nothing will ever grow mold or mildew. They pretty much thought of everything.The rack underneath allows for shoes or other low-profile objects (like more board games).This arrived in absolute mint condition. Not a scratch or mark. It is the definition of perfection.If I seem wildly impressed, that is because I am truly wildly impressed.This was worth every dollar I invested! Highly recommended for a living room, game room, entryway, or bedroom. It is super versatile and just a lovely piece to add to your home!

We had damage issues on the first and on the replacement. The second was minor and Amazing supported a price adjustment. We do use the bench. Storage is minimal but accommodates our use. The rack under is great for sandals and yard shoes, and still allows space to sweep or clean under it. It fits well under the coat hangers and is a nice addition to our mud room entrance. It cam assembled so that was awesome.

We love this but it arrived with a chipped corner on the top, like it was dropped.

Beautiful piece, but didn't hold up for more than a month. It ended up destroying itself. The lid holds itself up, and the force of shutting it, strains the backboard and separates it from the rest of the frame.

Very sturdy. Really good value for the money. Hinges are heavy duty. Ample room for gloves and winter gear. Room for 6 -8 pairs of shoes on bottom shelf. Welds are well done. Heavy.

I was excited about this storage bench, but when it arrived I was even more thrilled! It is of solid quality and looks great!The bench itself is attractive and fits a wide variety of decor. It goes nicely with our hardwood floor and blends well with all of our eclectic living room furniture. The storage area is vented on the bottom, which is quite handy for avoiding any mustiness, and the lid opens and closes very nicely.It arrived fully assembled, which was delightful! A corner was slightly damaged on arrival, but I can't help but blame that on abusive handling. The table was packed so well that normal - and even slightly rough - handling in shipping would not have been able to put so much as a scratch on this table. The box had been obviously excessively abused in shipment, yet we still only had one corner slightly damaged, thanks to the sturdy, protective packaging.My one complaint is the stickers on the back. We actually wanted to use this as a coffee table, something that would have worked incredibly well, thanks to the fact that the hinges on the back are rather unobtrusive. But, there are two quality stickers on the back that are stuck fast. Whatever adhesive was used doesn't want to let go, even with some "encouragement" from WD-40! I was pretty disappointed, as it really isn't that hard to either use a different adhesive or put stickers like those in unobtrusive locations.Otherwise, though, I'm absolutely loving this piece of furniture!

The Stylistics Castro Storage Bench is noteworthy for its quality. The mix of dark finished wood with the metal frame is attractive (the pictures on the Amazon web page are representative). It is substantial, quite weighty and impressively sturdy. No assembly is required. The enclosed storage area (directly beneath the bench seat) is relatively spacious (approximately 8.25 inches deep). Its bottom is a metal plate with a pattern of small holes throughout. The wooden seat stays open at any angle less than approximately 70 degrees and must be pressed closed. Metal bars form a rack for additional open storage on the bottom of the bench.I can find no obvious flaw in the bench’s design or craftsmanship. The only concern I would raise is its price. The prospective buyer can be confident, however, that this is not cheap furniture. It should serve its purpose (aesthetically and functionally) for years to come.
