Thoroughly impressed with this product. I have 2 Boston terriers, 1 of which is getting older. The dogs are both housebroken, but they do have very sensitive stomachs. I bought my home several years ago, which has carpeting with mystery stains when moved in, not to mention a number of different stains added by 2 dogs, an active household & a now 3 year old child. I used this item in conjunction with a bissell spotbot to get out some of the stains that kept reappearing. I have tried EVERYTHING else, such as Bissell pro carpet cleaner, pet odor eliminator, vinegar & baking soda, etc. & the carpet was clean, but the stains kept coming back. Not with this stuff! The smell is somewhat strong, but I think it smells good & if you cut the formula with at least 1/2 water, you'll be good to go (it comes with instructions letting you know how concentrated to make the formula based on your needs; this was very helpful). After a month, a few stains have shown back up on the carpet, but in different areas, which is making me think that the dogs are having accidents, & I will have to crate them at night. However, the carpets still smell clean in the areas I have treated & this product can be used with steam cleaners, shampoo cleaners, etc. On a side note, I have also used this stuff to clean up old milk crates & works extremely well on other projects. Lastly, this cleaner can be used for a number of different things such as degreasing an engine, cleaning your grill, general disinfectant, & so on. This stuff is made in the USA & is SO MUCH CHEAPER than buying the bissell pro carpet cleaner. Although you get 2.5 gallons for around $65, you should be cutting this formula by at least 1/2 or all the way down to 1/7 for basic cleaning, unless you are degreasing an engine or cleaning a grill. The last bit of advice that is really important in my experience is to let the spray sit for several minutes before scrubbing/cleaning to give the product time to break down & lift the stain out, as well as using PLENTY of water to get all of the product out of the carpet. I hope that this is helpful to a lot of you on the fence. I am happy I purchased the bigger container & will have plenty of other uses for this stuff.

I bought this product to basically help with urine odor accumulated in my very thick carpet from my numerous pets. Keep in mind that have tried many other products to eliminate the odor that has been in the carpet for several years. I have used this product on the area 2 times and the odor lingers BUT not nearly as strong. I will continue to treat the areas several more times before I give in and replace the carpet and pad. The one thing I really like about the product is that it cleans the carpet very well and there is no residue. The carpet feels soft and clean even though the odor is still present(not as bad though).I would recommend this product to people who have pets and are able to spot the problem when it happens and follow the guidelines recommended to get the stain and odor out of your carpet.Over-all, not perfect but better than I have used before.

This did the impossible on my severely pet stained carpet. Since my dog was older and incontinent when we bought our house, I wasn't concerned with carpets that were already stained. However as they got worse and worse thanks to my 10 year old dog and new puppy, so did the smell. I tried everything from peroxide to enzymes to no avail. One pass with a 50/50 solution in my rug doctor brought up water in a different color than I have ever pulled before. It's normally coffee brown, but this water was BLACK. Even a month later the stains are so improved that we can have company again. They aren't 100% gone but barely noticeable. I can let my kids play in the whole living room now without freaking out every time they go near the messy tract if carpet. The true test for smell was going away for a week. When we opened the front door and stepped in I smelled CLEAN not urine. This product saved my home.I've also recovered my grout to normal color, another seemingly impossible task that not even bleach could make a dent in.Stainless appliances look amazing too. Fingerprints are gone!The senior center is enjoying their donations of a cabinet full of cleaning products we've replaced with genesis.

Stuff seems to work pretty well. Didn't have dramatic before and after photos, but the water sure was dirty when I emptied my steam cleaner! Remember to go back over the area you are cleaning with straight water for a "rinse cycle". The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the super strong chemical smell. I'm not especially sensitive, but it even gave me a headache. Probably best to use when you can open windows and ventilate well.

Originally bought this for pet stains on the carpet but later took a job delivering diesel fuel. The loading rack is soaked in old dirty diesel and most days I come home very dirty and smelling of diesel.I've found that washing the clothes with a cup of Genesis in the washer and stopping the machine during the agitator cycle and letting the clothes to soak for about 90 minutes before restarting the machine is the best way I've found to get the grime out. It's not perfect but it works better than anything else I've tried.As I understand it Genisis uses an enzyme action to break down the pet stains and it also breaks down diesel and grease.

I have 6 pets. 2 dogs and 4 cats. I have tried all the deodorizers there are and this by far has been the best. Whenever I walk into my house and there is a slight scent that I have pets, I spray. I use it to mop with, I clean the area where my pets spend the most time and any odor just disappears. To say I love this stuff, is an understatement!The scent is a bit odd, I can't really say what the scent is other than "Clean" I guess if I had to give it a scent I would say it smells a lot of Elmer’s white glue. BUT, don't take this as a negative because the scent does dissipate quickly and all that is left is CLEAN!If you have pets you MUST get this. I do a 50/50 mix in a spray bottle. I can spray it directly on my tile floor and it's never sticky, oily or does it ever leave a residue. I will be back to order more FOR SURE!
