Genesis 950 Concentrate Carpet Cleaner, Pet Stain Remover & All Purpose Cleaner - Quart

Bought this as an alternative to Hoover Pet cleaner concentrate I use in our steam vac. You only need to use a small amount in the detergent area is you have a self mixing steam vacuum. I put about a quarter inch and mixed the rest with water. Initially I put in half and half but the smell was too strong and it literally choked me. Once I found the right combo it worked awesome. I was getting dirt out of the carpet that was layered the tank almost a half inch. I also went over the same areas 3 times and each time the tank was black. Keep in mind the pet cleaner mixture never was black when I was done and I usually clean the carpets at least once a year. Genesis is clear so you know it is picking up everything. Our old carpet is now fluffy and stain free. It has never been fluffy since we have lived here and should really be replaced but since we have a 4 year old than why bother. It now looks brand new. The smell is kinda of strange but goes away once it is dry. Almost smells like chemical rather than a typical fresh carpet cleaner but it seems to separate the dirt from the carpet 10 times better than any average carpet cleaner product I have ever used.I am definitely ordering more.

I can honestly say I was extremely disappointed in this product. After all the reviews I read and research that I did, I was not impressed at all.I adopted a new puppy earlier this year and you know what that means. Accidents. ALL. OVER. THE. HOUSE. For goodness sake I had no idea that they went that much. It seemed like no matter where I cleaned or walked I found another wet spot after taking the poor thing outside countless amounts of times.So I purchased the Genesis cleaner in hopes all the pee would wash away and to my dismay, this didn't happen. I was pretty adamant up until this point in using a corded handheld spot vacuum which really helped with starting the process of cleaning. I followed the directions and mixed 1 part Genesis 950 with 7 parts water. I put this mixture in both a spray bottle and in my steam cleaner so I could have both readily available for the task I was tackling. The genesis doesn't smell too particularly bad which is nice. I was hoping that it didn't have an extreme chemical smell. The results from using the steam cleaner left something to be desired though. I first would spray the spot with the bottle to saturate the spot and hopefully get the stain out. (I use a higher end steam cleaner in case you were wondering.) Anywho, it didn't work. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but I was expecting results. My carpet didn't look any cleaner than it would have using a cheap off brand spot treat product. Maybe I can use it on one of the many other things that this product says it cleans. *shrugs* I won't be wasting my time on my carpets again.

So let's be honest here... I purchased this product because I was desperate and searching for something that I could use in my personal Hoover carpet cleaning machine to remove the odor from a dog that urinated on my bedroom carpet. I did a lot of research on products online and I found this one... Genesis and it felt like this was the answer. I should mention that I have a sensitivity to smells and chemicals as they trigger migraines and this being "green and eco-friendly and without harsh chemicals" seemed to be a good combination. I was excited to get the bottle and eagerly mixed it at the recommended 50/50 ratio and used my carpet cleaner to get out that odor! First, let me say that the smell is VERY chemical and over-whelming. Thankfully, I was able to open the door and window in the bedroom and turn on two fans but it was almost impossible to even sleep in the room that night because of the smell. To be fair, when it dried the carpet did look plush and springy but once it dried the urine smell was still there. I felt like it was a waste of my time. I have not used this cleaner again and have it just sitting underneath the kitchen sink. I just cannot handle the smell indoors. Eventually I will just replace the carpet with the flooring in the rest of the house.

I thought this product was too good to be true. Honestly, I didn't think anything could get out the carpet smell from our stressed-out cat. But this product seriously works!! In fact, there is no stain to date that has beaten it. It may take a couple of applications, but stains are removed permanently, it would seem. And this is the only cleaner that I found that gets a cat urine smell to go away permanently, without coming back when the house opens up again in the summer. I am a huge huge fan. We use a 1:1 ratio of water to product and so far have had no issues with marking up our carpet or harming it in any way. I would like more information regarding safety - but the product claims to be all natural and so far has left no chemical smell. I am very very pleased with this purchase!Helpful tip: let it sit on the carpet for a few minutes with a warm towel over the top, then press down afterwards to "blot" up the stain. It is seriously effective!

I've read good things about how it cleans carpets. Well, it also cleans vinyl records too.Wear protective gloves to prevent cleaner from contacting your hands. Mix with distilled water about 20% cleaner and 80% distilled water. Use a soft non scratching brush designed for cleaning vinyl records or micro fiber cloth to move the fluid around the grooves (not across) to clean the record. Then rinse well under cool water. Repeat for other side. Take care to not get the label wet. Then blot dry with a lint free absorbent cloth or if you have a record vacuum machine then use that. Let air dry for 15 minutes and then play.

This saved my life. I had a Yorkie that was hiding a spot the he was peeing on the carpet. I thought I was going to have to purchase new carpet. It did take me several shampoos but when it was gone it was gone. I have no idea how long the dog urine was in carpet, but I imagine it was over a month.

Works, how shall I say, a little too well. I was trying to remove some dog vomit from new beige carpeting, and the area that I cleaned is almost white now. In a rental home. So there is now a big white spot in the carpeting. There goes the deposit... That said, I'm sure this products works. I just won't trust it on carpeting again.
