Superior Pump 91025 1/5 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump $48 & Woods 32555 Weatherproof Outdoor Outlet Remote Control Converter Kit $15 Application: pool cover pump History: my wife and I have owned an above ground pool for eight years. Every year we cover it up which requires us to drain water off it occasionally. We typically used a neighbors' utility pump. Unfortunately it required us to remain by the pool until we were finished, occasionally unclog leaves and reposition. Becoming disabled, I needed a better way for my wife to remove the water, especially during rainy/cold days. I researched pumps at Amazon, and besides finding this affordable pump, other customer reviews helped me devise my current arrangement. It works out great and now I would like to share this with others. Another customer suggested taking a skimmer pole and fastening the pole to the pump, so as to place the pump anywhere on the cover. I also set the pump into a bread crate to prevent leaves from clogging the pump and to hold the pump upright. Now that works well enough, however I purchased an outdoor remote control kit, that the pump plugs into and it plugs into a standard outlet. Now my wife can operate the pump from inside the house, watching through a window, without ever going outside. Additionally, with a garden hose attached, my wife only needs to cut the pump on momentarily then off, and the water will siphon completely off the pool cover, only a remnant remains to hold the cover down during winter. I've never used submergible pumps because it's not a practical application with soft covers, leaves and icing. So far this works great.

I have four lovely pet ducks. I built them a really cool duck deck with a couple of inset 50 gallon stock tanks to swim in. Emptying them has been a pain and it needs to be done at least every other day. The drain plugs are hard to reach, sometimes freeze overnight etc. Plus, there is always at least an inch or two of water left, which makes the tubs heavy to pull out. And of course when you drain on the spot, the area around the deck gets totally soggy. This pump changed everything. I used it straight out of the box, just attached my garden hose and plugged it in. Because it can't handle large debris, I removed any feathers from the surface. The pump did the rest like a champ. I now can water my garden beds with this amazing fertilizer....no water wasted! It took only minutes and the tub was essentially empty when done. I easily pulled it out, rinsed and refilled. So happy with this purchase!

We didnt expect this pump to do as well as they have but here we are a year and a half later with daily use and these pumps just keep going. They have great pressure even after pumping thru 75' hose and this brand has given us no issues at all, unlike other name brands we used. Very happy with this brand. Here we are several weeks/months in and our guys like this pump much better than other name brands... definitely buying more. And another edit... Just bought some more of these pumps and our guys were actually excited to be using there again rather than the mondi and other brands that just dont hold up. These pumps just take it all... Dirty water, running in tanks low all the time. Even lifting out by the cord at times which you definitely shouldn't do. These have outlasted EVERY other brand!

STRONG pump, even at 1/5hp it moves a ton of water. I usually go to ace for sump pumps but now I know to order these pumps. I even save roughly 20 dollars so win win, stronger than an ace pump cheaper. Edit my original one i bought in 2017 is still going strong five years later and its used, abused, road hard, and put away wet every day. The original review is for the standard 1/4 hp and i just recently bought the 1/4 hp high flow and it looks even better. The handles are plastic as the standard had metal tabs to grab that is starting to rust. But it still works like a champ. I tell everyone to buy these pumps and not one has died on +10 people that bought these. I used to go through a sump pump once a year but these are built to last, i even dry ran them for 12 hours at a time and once they cool off, they turn right back on

I have 2 of this pump. One is used for the kitchen sink, the other one is used for the bath tub. I live in an old apartment and the drainage system is terrible. The pipe connected to the kitchen sink is blocked and the drainage pipe for the bath tub leaks. I use this pump to drain the waste water from the kitchen sink and the tub. For my purposes, the pump works very well. It removes most of the relatively larger particles so no worry on the blockage of the pump. I have removed the bottom screen for cleaning and the inside of the pump was surprisingly clean. The noise is acceptable to me. The one I use in the bath tub is on the second floor. It does make noise which can wake up anyone in the bedroom, especially the apartment is basically wooden structure and old. But for relatively new houses, I think it is OK and rather quiet if the door is closed. One issue is that the two pumps are not the same in terms of noise produced. One of them, probably because of the slight difference on the base of the pump which I don't know, makes more noise than the other one. On the installation side, it is pretty easy. As many other reviews mention, you might need an adapter, depending on what you want to connect it to. The adapter that comes with the pump can be used to connect the pump to the regular garden hose. Overall, it is a pretty decent, small but powerful product.

I bought this Superior pump to replace a Little Giant that was a bit undersized for my application. I have a water cooled spindle motor on my CNC router and the Little Giant was initially able to circulate the water and antifreeze mixture but after about a year it couldn't push the liquid up high enough. I bought the Superior pump because it had a higher head rating (higher static pressure). The Superior pump was also a significant step up in power. It did not disappoint! This pump moves a LOT of water. Be careful when testing or you will get wet. I had read the specification and I was still shocked at how much water this pump moves, and how fast the water flows. There's a reason the outlet is such a large diameter! I reduced the outlet to fit a small flexible hose and it worked very well. I'm building another CNC router and I'll be buying another Superior pump.

This product deserves all its good ratings! Easy to put together it’s just screwing on the garden hose, worked great, wasn’t loud! I used it on an above ground pool 12’X2.5’ deep that I decided to put in my living room bc isolation has me going crazy bc stupid covid-19! (Decided not to put outside bc ground wasn’t level & didn’t wanna level ground). Yes this is a real review haha. The only problem I had was with the shipping....PLEASE PACKAGE YOUR PRODUCT IN ANOTHER BOX. It came in just the box itself where everyone could see what item was which isn’t good for thieves & also I was scared of it being damaged bc stuff gets thrown around in delivery process! But still great product.

I bought this pump to replace an aquarium pump that I use to clean my kegerator draft lines. The aquarium pump was barely strong enough to get the cleaning solution through the lines and I couldn't be sure that they were properly cleaned. This pump is about 4 times stronger and has no problem pumping the solution through the lines. Now I can safely guarantee that my draft lines are clean. Great value for the money
