(Whoa I had a ton of typos from typing on my phone, fixing most of them!) Gulp, I road tripped from FL to CO on a 2 day drive and this dual leash tether system was THE life saver. In the back seat were 2 chihuahuas, an Australian Shepherd, and an Australian Cattle/Husky mix. They were all troopers, but I needed a fool-proof, sturdy, efficient means of executing potty breaks and stress free hikes. This solved it. The waist band was sturdy, minimally padded, and fastened with plastic clips the operated smoothly. There are several rings on the waist belt allowing for various "dog hooking" combinations. I wore this belt the entire 1957 mile drive, along with my waist purse, never removing either. Speed and efficiency at every stop was key. I would jump out of my truck, grab the main leash line from my door and clip it to the belt, walk around and open the right rear side door and grab the tether, clipping in both large dogs to the main leash (all why deploying folding stairs for them to enter and exit from). I did this alone to CO and back, and it worked flawlessly every stop. What about the chihuahuas you say? They had 2 options of course! I bought a mini handheld dual leash system for the small dogs, in addition to a double decker backpack which I am sporting in my picture. Yep, I hiked with 2 coat wearing chihuahuas riding in a double decker backpack and had 2 bigger dogs leading the way via the dual leash system... all while I gnawed on a brisket sandwich. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. The Aussie (wearing her pink coat) thought it would be “funny” to show how well her scissoring teeth worked while shut in the same room with the Sparkly Pets leash system and demolished both the leash AND the coupler, rendering it useless by day 4. Fortunately, I had a bunch of old leashes I was able to rig up to use the belt while I awaited my 2nd purchase of the Sparkly Pets system. I will never walk 2 dogs together any other way again if a leash is required! They pulled more on each other than me, which was a nice relief while traversing over the rocky uneven terrain. There are multiple grab handles down the leash and on the coupler, which I quickly adapted to. The dogs even settled into their "arrangement" once realizing that pulling each other wasn't as fun as pulling me. Everything was heavy duty, sturdy, and felt really solid while in use. The leashes are even reflective, though I did not get any pictures of that. I wish Sparkly Pets made a size for under 25lb dogs, as it would have been great to clip the chihuahuas to me for their separate walks! I did manage to find a handheld option to work, but it would have been great to be fully hands free :) I have since purchased a solid carabiner to clip the chihuahua's to one of the loops on the Sparkly Pets belt, making it work! At $40, this feels a little steep in the world of leashes, but it is truly well worth it for a 2-dog system to spare your body a bit of abuse since it transfers any pulling between 2 dogs. When Brooklyn the Aussie destroyed the first set in her quiet hours of hellish boredom, I did not even hesitate buying again immediately. It truly made the road trip so much more easy. Our second new set stays far out of Brooklyn Scissor Teeth’s grasp to keep me from having to replace it again soon lol. Sturdy materials, quality assembly, numerous handles to quickly contain, restrain and keep safe those pesky dogs doing the dosy-do. Love it, and clearly would purchase again…since I did purchase it again!

I love this leash, makes it very easy to walk both of my dogs that’s easily weight 75 pounds each! Although I wish there was a little bit more room between the dogs, they seem to tolerate it well! There is 4 handles so you are able to control the dogs when needed. At not point during our walk did the leash not feel secure, one of my favorite dog purchases.

This leash has honestly been a game changer for me. I have two dogs—a Frenchie and a pug—and my Frenchie pulls so hard on walks that going to the chiropractor afterward had basically become normal for me. My shoulders were constantly hurting, and there were times I had to stop taking my dogs on walks altogether because I needed months to recover. Since getting this hands-free leash belt, everything changed. It’s incredibly sturdy and actually holds up no matter how hard my dog pulls. I finally feel secure walking them without worrying about my shoulders getting wrecked. The belt itself is also super convenient and well designed. There’s enough room for potty bags, my iPhone Pro Max fits easily, and I love the dedicated water bottle pocket that unzips—it makes walks so much easier. It’s comfortable, durable, and genuinely made daily walks possible for me again. Since I got it, we’ve been going on walks every single day. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it to anyone with strong pullers!

Update: I've been using the leash with my two border collies on runs for over a year. We have hundreds of miles on it. I don't use the belt that came with the leash but use custom sewn belt that I have. The leash is still solid and doesn't show any signs of wear. Still a highly recommended dual lead leash. I have two border collies that I run with all the time on road and trail, and I wanted a double lead leash that could handle their pulling. They're not sled dogs by any means but they do like to run so I also needed a lead that didn't feel like it could fail at any time with the work being ask to do. Here's a list of pro's and cons. Pro's -- 1) Heavy duty - The lead and bungees are made for medium to large dogs and feel very well constructed. The rings and attachment clasps feel solid. This belt is probably going to be used for years before I have to consider replacing it. 2) Multiple leash handles - There are four traditional handles on the leash, one at the very end where it attaches to the belt, another at the point where the leash splits, and one each on each of the dual leads. It gives me easy options for taking hold of the leash depending on where I need to at the moment. The other nice thing is that the handles have Velcro on them that holds them to the leash body when not in use so they're not flapping around while running. 3) Double attachment points at the belt - The belt I previously used had one D-ring to attach the leash, and that meant should the belt clasp fail there was nothing stopping my dogs from taking off. My dogs are well trained and would not take off on me, but if we're running through town I want to know with absolute certainty that they're secured to me. This belt has a D-ring at each end of the belt so the leash can be attached to both simultaneously and no stress is put on the belt clasp. There is also a third D-ring off to the side where you might attach another lead, maybe for a dog that doesn't pull. The belt is of the same, heavy duty material the lead is made of. 4) Multiple bungee points - The main leash and each of the double leads has a strong bungee portion. There are no sharp jerks with this leash when we take off on a run. Cons -- Really there is just one... The "padding" that is part of the belt provides as much support as a paper towel would. It's completely useless, and I've just pulled the one off of my belt and threw it away. You can go onto some Canicross sites and buy dual lead leashes for two or three times the cost of this one, and pay that for the same quality. However, if you're going do any serious running with some dogs then I'd recommend you take the belt and store it away as a backup and get a true running/canicross belt. But don't hesitate to use this as your main leash. That's what I've ultimately done. I use this leash and a different belt combo to run my BC's. We've got about a hundred miles on this leash so far and it's definitely worth having.

I seriously cannot believe I held out on getting one of these for so long!! I have a 50 lb husky/malamute & 65 lb husky/gsd. The bigger of which has a serious pulling issue (chokers, harnesses with front clips, bungee leashes.. nothing really deters her) so walking them together by myself has always been extra difficult. Well friends that is no longer the case! I snapped this around my waist & attached it to the pups (I did still put the choker on my big girl) & off we went with ease!! :D the bungees on this leash feel extra strong & the leash itself is longer than other bungee leashes I’ve used which is a plus for my needs. I mean maybe I didn’t feel it as much because it was around my waist but it seemed like in general they both gave up on really pulling within 10 minutes. You also can’t beat being handsfree while having extra peace of mind that no matter what your dogs aren’t going anywhere as if you were to say accidentally have a leash ripped out of your hand by a sudden pull. That alone was all worth it. Weird thing to say but picking up doggy business was more enjoyable lol.. not having your arms pulled by a leash while you’re trying to safely secure icky stuff. There are 3 D-rings on the belt (2 stationary, 1 sliding). I tied my fresh baggies to one of the stationary ones so no need for pants with pockets while going out for a walk. I also appreciate the ample amount of handles. 2 at the base right behind the collar clip great for extra close control of each dog separately (the coupler itself has enough width I can easily pull a dog to each side of me when this separate control is needed without getting all tangled up) when you’re around traffic, crowded sidewalks, or passing unfriendly dogs. 1 at the base clip where the coupler attaches (or for single dog use) also great for the previously mentioned scenarios & then one at the top should you want to detach from the belt. Also they’re padded! I’ve had previous leashes with not padded handles & holy hurt hands, never again. I will say these longer lengths may not work in your favor while using the waist belt if your dog(s) stay closer to you. We went on quite a long walk & at the end they slowed down which I found I then had to hold the leash (I know I had to use a hand oh my) or else I was in danger of tripping over the leash & the dogs started stepping over the coupler but really I’m just nitpicking there. It’s the only con I could possibly think of haha. Update: still love it! We went on a walk with my friend & her dog & I had such an easier time being handsfree even with two! She had to walk with a leash & poo baggy in one hand & I did not miss that one bit. I bought her one for Christmas lol

This dog leash is incredibly sturdy, versatile, and easy to use. I love the enhanced control it provides compared to regular leashes. The product is well-crafted, and I’m delighted to have it along with my dogs

I've only used it once for a test drive. I have two large very strong German Shepherds, 112 and 108 pounds. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - There are two D-rings on the belt so you can clip the leash on the side or front. They are metal and feel secure on the belt. - Because my dogs are big, I felt the need to use the handles while walking so they wouldn't pull. As we neared our driveway, I went hands free so I could take a picture. Hands free for the win! - There are multiple handles on the leashes. If you need extra control around cars, there are two handles near the end of leashes (see picture). There are handles about mid-way up the leash for each dog. Then there is one handle at the top near the belt. It was great having the flexibility to have control in different situations. - The bunjee leash prevented me from being yanked around. It also helped both dogs in case one of them decided to walk fast or go in a different direction. Cons: - The biggest pouch on the belt barely fit my Samsung S22 ULTRA with a case. It would be nice if it were bigger to have easier access to my phone. If you have a smaller phone, it may be just fine. - My younger dog was a bit all over the place, often pulling my other dog. It would be nice to make the individual leashes adjustable. They rarely walked side by side until towards the end of our walk. Maybe this will get better as they get used to the leash. For the first walk, it worked as expected. I will continue to have a spare leash with me just in case, but so far so good!

This product is great. I purchased two (because I have two dogs) and I connect the two together using the hooks to make one leash that has a handle in the middle. I don't use the belt but I could see how that would be a great feature. Here's what I like: 1. The length of this leash is perfect. It works well in tight quarters and gives them enough flexibility to roam around me as we do our walks. The fact that the leash can expand and contract a bit makes this leash the perfect hybrid between a standard leash and a retractable leash. 2. This leash does not Knot! When you manage two dogs as I do, you know that typical leashes knot up quite a bit. One dog goes one way, the other goes another and you find yourself spending a considerable amount of time untangling the two leashes. That does NOT happen with this leash. Because these leashes are thicker and have that stretchiness to them, they contract and never bunch up like a typical leash. 3. Responsive My dogs respond to these leashes really well. I have a 25lb and a 50lb dog. Each has their own strategy on how they'd like to walk, this leash allows me to reign them in with the slightest touch. I literally went from clenched fists with other leashes to two light finders with this leash. The dogs respond to the slight pull of these leashes in a way they just do not with any other leash out there. 4. Stretch - but with dog control The leashes has the perfect amount of stretch to them. My dogs pull on every other leash, except this one. The key is the stretchiness in the leash, it doesn't cause an abrupt tug on my dogs so they do not have the natural reaction to pull away from the tug. The result is a more responsive dog. But unlike retractable or regular leashes, you do have much more control over your dog if you need it. I live downtown and it's critical to the safety of my dogs that I can pull them away from danger. If my dog gets alarmed by the loud, abrupt sound of a bus, we encounter some unfriendly dogs, or they forget that they shouldn't walk into oncoming traffic, I trust this leash is strong enough for me to pull them away from the danger. 4. Construction Overall these leashes are well made. The materials are strong and even though I just purchased these leashes, I can already tell they will last a lot longer than any other leash I've owned. Here are some things we could do better: 1. Finishing Touches As I mentioned the construction of the leashes are excellent. I do, however, have some suggestions on how to make it even better. The main thing I notice is there are some places near the handles where the plastic material was melted to create a seal. The result is there are some sharp spots that do not feel great when you're using the leash barehanded. This is more prominent for me because I'm using the leashes in a non-standard way (I connect two leashes to make one). I am going to file down these edges myself, but it would be nice to have that done when they were putting the leashes together. The handles aren't great. I would consider putting some more thought into the handles of these leashes. I understand they're meant to be used with the belt and when they're not, they are meant to hook on the ring to create a loop. But the handles don't feel right when they are hooked like this. I think the hook is too close to the loop - if that makes any sense. If it were a little flatter it would feel better. Beyond that, yes, I would absolutely recommend these leashes to anyone. You really have to experience them to completely understand why they are so great. It's a well-balanced, well thought out design that does the job. These leashes are unlike any other that you may have tried. Check them out.

This is not the same quality in regards to the strength and size of the clips that I received a year before. It just doesn't feel secure. Very disappointing.

I bought this lead as I need to use a walking stick. This lead is so useful as it means I have a free hand for poop scooping :) The lead's a great length for walking my medium size dog. I noticed one reviewer had a problem with poor stitching. Everything looks sound on mine. A good strong lead and I love the double fastening on the belt so it can't come undone. Not a cheap item but it looks built to last.
