PetAg Bene-Bac Plus - 1 lb Powder - FOS & Probiotics for Dogs, Cats, Exotic & Wildlife Mammals

This is a fantastic prebiotic product for your kitties. I originally purchased it because my kidney cat was having digestive issues after going on a whole host of medicines for an infection, seizures, anemia, and kidney disease. He was losing more weight than I liked, his fur was matte and greasy, and he was having trouble in the bathroom. He ended up needing to six more weeks of antibiotics for the digestive issues, but before he even started those I could tell BeneBac was helping. He LOVED the taste in his food and was eating more (bonus for a kidney cat) and his fur was looking bright and shiny and felt so soft again. I could tell he was able to get more nutrients from his food. It made a very noticable difference. We continued him on a BeneBac routine up until he died and I really think it helped. I still use this twice a week for my other kitties and they can't get enough. I mix a teaspoon of it in their nightime wet food with a tiny bit of extra water for moistness and they always turn into ferocious eaters after they taste it.

Mr. Bond, 10 months old kitty, had unexplained severe diarrhea, like basically water poop. Nothing worked before this, not vet food, not kaolin clay, not extra fiber. He's had several rounds of dewormers and antibiotics before we got him so I guess those did a number on him. Over the past month, through small doses every other day, he's shown significant improvement (from poop type 7 to 4!) and gained 1.3 pounds! Also, he's not tracking poo everywhere so that's a plus for me. He also does not mind the taste of it at all when it's mixed into wet food. It lumps quickly so sprinkle it over then mix. Definitely give this a try if your kitty has similar problems.

My picky 10 yr old bunny ate this readily when mixed with veg, started him on it 3 days before starting antibiotics, he is 4lbs and I feed him 2 scoops a few hours after his antibiotics and he has not had any tummy troubles like he usually does 🙂 I think it is ideal for rabbits bc it doesn't have sugar like the tube version.

I will always keep this on hand. I rescue bunnies. Its a must have for buns in nutritional stress.

BeneBac does exactly what it says it will. I have had animals on longer-term antibiotic regimens, and my vet recommended BeneBac powder to help combat the diarrhea that sometimes accompanies antibiotic use. The first time I used it, I purchased a small container from my vet's office. The receptionist recommended that I look online for a larger quantity at a cheaper price. Amazon won. When I received the product, it was exactly the same as what I purchased from my vet, but was far less expensive per ounce. I saw results in just a few days, and it made my dog much more comfortable. I also use this and BeneBac gel for animal rescue until I can get the critter to the vet. The gel is very effective, and I've never had any animal reject it.

I got this to help with my bottle fed kittens to help with their runny poop. I was recommended this product from my vet and this price and size was much more economical than hat I could get in the local pet stores. Great product and WORKED.

I bought this Bene-Bac Plus about 6 months ago for my bunny named Luna. To start off with, I am a big pre/probiotic advocate for furry friends and humans. They are great at keeping the flora in the gut in check (which is especially important in bunnies to prevent GI stasis). I do recommend giving this in small quantities at first as stated on the back of the package, just to get their little bunny tummies used to it. I give this to Luna every day or really just whenever she runs out. I did try to sprinkle it on her vegetables at first, but in reality it made a huge mess and I wasn't sure how much product she was actually getting. So I resorted to mixing a teaspoon of the Bene-Bac Plus (my rabbit friend is about 6.5 pounds) with hot/warm water (the warmer water helps dissolve it quicker and more evenly) in her bowl which holds about 3.5 cups and roughly 0.25-0.5 tablespoon (I just do a splash so it could be more or less) of 100% apple juice with no added sugar, give it a quick stir and put it in her room. She will drink it all within 1-3 days because she loves the stuff. I only put the apple juice in it (I know it's not great) because she had some bladder sludge before she started this regimen because she hated the peasant tap water I was giving her. I would definitely recommend to try it without the juice first because Bene-Bac Plus does have some natural sweetness to see if your furry friend can palate it. My Luna will drink it without the juice, she just prefers it with the sinful apple concoction and she drinks it up quick and without a fight, so I'm going to leave it as is. Her bladder sludge is also gone (probably attributed to the excess fluids she's ingesting, but I'll take it!) She also runs and binkies all the time which she didn't do as often before this regimen. Soo, in conclusion I would get this product (I've already bought 2 so I don't run out) and this may work for other furry friends that aren't bunnies I just can only speak about my Luna-tic. As with anything that is newly introduced to our loved ones, take caution and know the warning signs for serious issues (maybe introduce it on a weekend or a time where you can be with them for at least 24 hours). When I first opened the Bene-Bac Plus powder, I was really relieved that it has almost no noticeable scent, which was my biggest worry since I needed to mix it into my dog’s food. The most significant pro is how quickly and effectively this prebiotic and probiotic combination settled my dog's sensitive stomach; within just two days of use, the loose stools were gone, and his digestion became incredibly regular, making mealtime much easier for both of us. The powder format is fantastic because it easily sticks to dry kibble when a tiny bit of water is added, and the large one pound tub offers exceptional value compared to single dose tubes, especially for daily long term use. The only real con I can point out is that the scoop size is a bit large for very small pets, meaning I have to eyeball a smaller serving for my cat when she needs it, which isn't ideal for precise dosing. If you have a pet that frequently experiences digestive upset, is recovering from antibiotics, or simply needs daily support for a healthy gut biome, I wholeheartedly recommend this product; it is a true lifesaver for sensitive tummies.

I originally bought this for bottle baby kittens, as they always need a little help when they are fed formula. It dissolves completely in the formula and has no taste. I also use it on wet food for older animals too. It helps keep the gastrointestinal system in line and happy. For a foster mom with animals with challenging issues, it's a game changer for me. It works just as well, if not better than some of the other brands that are more expensive, and a container lasts a long time.
