Looks much stronger than the stock one.Quick and easy fix, wish it came in the khaki stock color.Black doesn't look too out of place, at least I don't have to reach under and grab the rod any more.Happy with it.

The break release lever arrived timely and was new in box. Although it could just be because it is new but this replacement felt even better than the original. Install was super easy and took less than 10 minutes. Color matched original and has worked great since I put it in. Would recommend.

Had to borrow my brother in law 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 BIG HORN editing TURBO DIESEL for 1 day, my truck was at the mechanic. So he has been driving it without the emergency handle for the longest time! always had to pull it by the cable with the clip attached, I decided it's overdue !!!! got on Amazon researched ordered the part reviews sold me, was worried about the color match being it's really not my truck LOL, returned his truck installed it less than 5 minutes perfect fit, color-matched, he's a happy camper, I did price around and the cost was more than this one! reviews did mention this one is made better than the original they were right. Hope that helps with your decision.

Built better than oem .. Easy install and color pretty close down there..

Just installed the new handleColor match to the Ram slate gray is very good. It looks like it's going to work OK.But you can definitely tell it's not OEM by the amout of play/slop in the hinge tabs themselves. The OEM is a tight tolerance with very little side to side movement.

Installation was quick and easy. About 20 minutes to remove what was left of my old one and install this one. I have a manual transmission and leave it in Neutral, so I use this close to 10 times a day, works great.

The replacement release handle arrived 2 days after being ordered and was a perfect fit to the original in my 2005 Dodge Durango Limited. This handle is reinforced where the OEM handle had broken. While my OEM dash is not Gray, the new part ordered in Slate Gray looks fine as other items on the dash are black such as the hood release, foot pedals power switch surround and headlight control surround plus the brake release handle is in an out-of-the-way location low on the dash. Installation was about 15 minutes and the price was 1/3 of OEM online. An easy 5 stars!

I used the Amazon "filter" to find a product that would fit my 2005 Dodge Ram. This product came up among Amazon's selections, but it only fits 2006-2008 Ram 1500's. It even says so in the product information, but I failed to check that because I trusted Amazon' filter. I was able to modify the product so it will (barely) work for now, but I'll have to get the correct part from a dealer.
