Innocence: A Novel

I had read Ms Tessaro's book "The Perfume Collector" and found it so engrossing that I bought several other books of hers. The one just mentioned is the best so far and I gave it a 5.I began reading this book and just could not get in to it so I will give to charity. I did not find the characters likable or interesting.

Innocence was a wonderful book! It's not hard to get lost in the story and relate to the character, Evie. You go with her as she struggles with her past and present. She learns to let go of what she's afraid may have been mistakes, with the help of a lost friend that does what every friend should do, challenge you and be that mirror you never want to look in. It's an easy read that you can really feel for.

I love Kathleen Tessaro and I have bought every single one of her books. This was my least favorite. To be honest I am not sure if this was her first book as a writer, but I hope so. It felt slightly "new" if you know what I mean. As if she had an idea and started writing and no one ever told her that it needed work. Love her, love her writing normally. Don't love this book.

I enjoy a good story and Ms. Tessaro is indeed capable of supplying them. The book was a fast read and i was sorry to have it end. I have read several of her books and look forward to more.

The cover was torn in some places. However, the book is intact.

No where near as interesting as her other book , The Perfume Collector. Pushing myself to read it...

What I wanted

I was intrigued with this book. Because of it I read tessaro's other books.

I liked previous books by this author, however I felt it took me longer to get into this book, but one I had the story captures the imagination

brilliant book. like all her other novels.
