Products like this should be 'fit and forget'. You don't want to change these every few months. This worked very well for a few weeks and then stopped working all together. The design does not leave much scope for opening and repairing or cleaning it. I am back to the ancient brass ball cock variety.

Update: April 2021 the float valve stopped working today 28.04.2021. Update: July 2021 the second float valve purchased in August 2020 stopped working and broke in tank with water pressure. There was no change in water pressure or anything for it to get spoilt this quick. Noticed a Indian company making this will try that product. Seems like the Float Valve is Made in Thailand. The Product has a decent built and has a 1/2 diameter. It is super simple to install and works better than the generic ball cock which is used in a overhead water tank. I used a 1 inch extension and then connected the valve. It may be advisable to reduce the incoming water pressure to the tank where the water is stored as the water fills in at full force. Consider using a CPVC elbow at one end to direct the water flow downwards. I removed the small strainer that is included with the product prior to installation.

The difference between this valve and the float valve is that this valve will allow the water to flow in full force until the tank is filled and then it will suddenly stop the flow. The tank therefore fills very fast which is good especially if you receive water only for a certain time during the day. The traditional ball-valve on the other hand, gradually reduces the water flow until the tank is full - it therefore takes much longer to fill. This Ball-less Float valve consists of a diaphragm that stops/allows the water to flow. It has a float within it that rises with the water level and puts pressure on the diaphragm. If you remove the white cover of this valve you will see the black float (see attached picture 1), if you remove the float, you see the leaver that opens or closes the hole (see attached picture 2 & 3). Finally, if you remove the base of the leaver, you see the spring mechanism. There is also a video of me testing the device prior to installation as the inlet valve to our sintex water tank. So far it works fine.

Good product...nearly 4 months since installed...working very well. 01jun2020 Stars reduced from 5 to 3. Now after 8 months use...I have started problems with the valve has stopped functioning...it doesn't stop the flow of water and the tank overflows...hence disappointed with the product - however having cleaned the filter the function was normal and till date (18mar2024) it is working really well. In fact a great alternative to traditional float valve.

I set up a mni tank to save boar water & use them for cooking. for this purpose i ordered it. It works as mentioned and this is very easy to fix. the fittings given is of great quality and works very fine. You can purchanse this without any doubt.

I'm totally dissatisfied with this product.. 2nd time in a row, it brakes up. It is extremely delicate product and I can't even tighten it midly even..it breaks from inside that has a thin axis line for the float. I would recommend none buy this low quality product. I rarely give bad review.

I used vintage float loaded valve in sump for last 10+ years in these 10years my house flooded many times due to over confidence on ball float valve. After watching a video on Amazon & you tube similar to the product decided to use it to avoid flooding in room. Honestly I was surprised after installation on same day it worked as company stated. I am impressed. Now next step is the durability, let's see how many days it last n work. I will not suggest, but I strongly recommend this product to everyone who are fade up with the flooding or overflow of the tanks GO FOR IT......
