DO NOT add more than 48oz. (1.5L) at a time.3-Shake bottle well prior to application. With circulation pump running, add the recommended dose to skimmer.4-Some clouding may occur. Run the pump and filter for 48 hours continuously without backwashing or cleaning the filter.5-After 48 hours, vacuum to filter.6-Backwash or clean filter.7-Retest the phosphate level. Repeat steps 1-6 if necessary.For DE & Cartridge Filters: Do not add more than 48oz (1.5L) at a time. If more than 48oz (1.5L) is needed to treat phosphate level, be sure to clean or backwash the filter between treatments.Important: Retest water after each completed treatment. I use the highest strength. **Q: can i use it in saltwater pool?** A: Absolutely.. my pool is saltwater **Q: what id the mixing ratio for this product, how much to treat 30,000 gal? testing a7 2,000 ppb** A: Because of the nature of this product, it is a solid in suspension, and it WILL deposit on your filter and clog it, I have found that using greater than 16 oz per 100 sq ft of filter is not effective. Above that level, whether used as directed (poured in the skimmer with pump on) or dispersed in the pool, your filter flow will decrease too much too quickly for the product to work. So, try that dose, according to your filter area, and run your pump for at least eight hours a day for a week or 48 hours contiuously and then retest. You may need to clean your filter and then re-treat. Don't clean your filter before using, it just makes it that much harder to get off the filter (if cartridge) when you're done. Remember to shake the product up well before measuring. Also the cup on the lid is exactly 4 oz when measuring. Hope this helps.
