Fancy Nancy Take-Along Storybook Set: 5 Storybook Adventures

My 5.5 year old is learning to read longer words, and she is absolutely thrilled with this. I've only given her one book out of the 5, so she can savor it. She has already re-read the Late, late, late Night about 5 times. The illustrations are detailed. And the introduction to "fancy" words like exhausted, celebrity, fascinating and Au revoir are age-appropriate.

These books are the absolute best! They are cute and girlie, but they are also great learning tools. They have positive messages and themes in each book. Plus, Nancy is very relatable. However, my favorite part is that Nancy loves to be fancy, so she uses higher level vocabulary words. When she introduces a new word, she explains what the word means. My three year old daughter loves the stories, and her vocabulary has expanded. As a teacher, I consider this a huge win! The carrying case is a helpful tool for road trips. It's not super strong, but it has held together for us so far. The pictures are eye-catching but *maybe* a little busy for some kids. My daughter seemed ok with them. The price can't be beat! This is such a great find. You won't regret buying them.
