Nice to have
It’s pretty good actually.if you just want to use it for like water and milk temperature then go for it. It’s not that durable tho and it’s plastic so don’t expect much.

Value for money, acceptable accuracy
This is a great purchase for the price. I am very satisfied with it. It shows temperature both in Centigrade and Fahrenheit, so that's handy when making stuff from recipes that call for US/Imperial temperature units (Candy, Jam etc)!Accuracy too is acceptable (it'll show boiling steaming water as 98 degrees C), and though it takes a minute to show a "stable" reading, this is quite acceptable for my cooking purposes. Thread consistency temp of 230F will show as maybe 224F-225F, so though not super-accurate, it's acceptable once you understand this small drift! It's good enough for me anyway!The length of this probe though adequate could have been longer. If it had been a few inches longer, it'd have been perfect for those bubbling pots of sauce, jams etc that we make once in a while. As it is now, the probe is long enough but the small splashes that happen in a hot pan of jam are somewhat of a bother though this isn't a fault of the probe. Work-around is to position this to the side of the pan and hold it gingerly! :)Again, this is a great value for money purchase for me! I recommend this to all cooks!

Quality issues
Poor quality, LED display goes off frequently due to loose contacts, buttons are not sturdy, difficult to use also

Plastic melted while using it
The plastic melted when kept in boiling water, but a complete metal device this one is not worth it

Very useful tool
Good quality, even placed it in a freezer overnight and it still works fine. Made some hard candy using this thermometer, worked as expected
