They were not stable at all. Threw in the trash.

I ordered these so I could include them when I do a piece of art or picture for my friends. They are made from a soft wood with gentle graining that takes paint and stain well. The surfaces are even enough and consistent enough to use for pyrography projects as well. They come assembled and fold out to a sturdy tripod base. These would also make really nice place or placard holders for tables during parties or special events. Will definitely order more in the future especially for the holidays.

These are nice small easels that would transport easy or you could use them to display your unfinished art projects on. They have good instructions to put them together. Each unassembled easel comes in its own little clear plastic bag with a bag of hardware. The set came with a short philips head screwdriver to use for assembly. Once they are assembled they are sturdy and adjustable by tightening or loosening the wing nut. These are not made for large canvas pieces but hold 11 x 14 canvas boards well.
