Aji No Moto (aka MSG) adds great flavor but isn't actually harmful per Adam Ragusea's YT vid.
My family has been cooking with Aji No Moto (MSG) for decades and it makes food taste great! Aji No Moto doesn't taste particularly salty on it's own because it is a FLAVOR ENHANCER not a flavoring on it's own. This means it makes salt taste more salty so use about 50% salt 50% MSG, or 66% salt 33% MSG and you won't have to use as much salt to get the same flavor of just using salt alone. This means you'll actually consume about 10%-20% less sodium overall while getting the same salty flavor by mixing them in these ratios. Instead of using 100mg salt you use 50mg salt and 50mg MSG so your total sodium intake is about 20% lower overall while maintaining the same saltiness of the dish. I was under the impression that MSG was bad since giant food corps were saying it for so long, but it wasn't until recently that I did a lot of research looking at INDEPENDENT food labs findings, those who aren't getting paid by corporations to get a specific result they want, and found MSG actually isn't bad for you like I've always heard nearly my whole life. As Adam Ragusea said: Chinese and Japanese people (total of about 1.7 BILLION people on Earth) have been cooking daily with MSG for many decades and they show no greater signs of heath problems than any other nationalities do who don't use MSG. Facts don't lie. Just be sure to get your facts from unbiased sources.

This is the go-to MSG and a great bargain
I've only managed to go through one bag since purchasing it at the time of writing this review, and only recently opened the 2nd bag to fill. This is such a good value, that having extra bags is easily worth the savings. I've essentially started using it in almost every recipe that involves salt, and it's definitely made my pizza dough and breads reach a new level I didn't even think was possible. Aji No Moto has become a staple of my pantry, and it should be part of yours too.

The umami American msg, does not have
Aji is the building block of all Asian cooking. My mother, who is from Japan, born and raised, used Aji in all her cooking. It is more complex, lighter than American MSG, more palatable and loaded with umami.Get the bags in conjunction with the small shaker, its designed to dispense the AJI in fine, small amounts. Mom always taught me to refill the shaker and use it to lightly add it to food.

Save a TON of Money 💰 (BUY this product, and SAVE!!)
I am so happy I found this product. In the past I would [lazily] travel to the traditional Supermarket to purchase the “Flavor Enhancer,” which most people (who cook) know as the product called ”Accent.”I always knew that Accent was made from Monosodium Glutamate (or also known as MSG - which is a close “cousin” to salt, BTW), but I never had the extra energy (or time) to think that I could buy this in very large [“Bulk”] packaging. So I recently was browsing Amazon when I saw this product. When I did the math, my head almost blew off!!🤯Accent at the traditional Supermarket was typically going for anywhere from $6 to $7 for a 4.5 oz container (and a small one/amount at that). This adds up to around $1.47 per ounce/oz.If you were to buy one pound (or 16 oz) of this [as Accent] then it would add up to a WHOPPING $23.55 dollars!!!..... 💵 (or $1.47 X 16).THIS product goes for around $6.00, for one pound!!!!! (so around $23 bucks versus $6 bucks, for the SAME amount!!!)ALL these YEARS I’ve been paying more than TRIPLE the price for this product (NO MORE!!!!!......,😡)So if you want to save BIG money on MSG then do NOT (ever) buy the store brought Accent product.PS/FYI/BTW - And for all those “Food Police” 🚔 who try to SCARE you with MSG being ”poison” (or BAD) for you - I say, DON’T believe all the MYTHS of MSG being bad for you (in fact, even Accent list MSG as having 60% less sodium than traditional plain table salt!!)As MANY reviewers have mentioned (over and OVER), MSG is a “natural” compound, so it thus does NOT harm your body (IF taken in moderation).( I have a Ph.D., so I KNOW what I’m talking about!!)Frankly, I am SICK and tired of all the “Quack” individuals (pseudo Ph.D’s “Food Cops”) who say THIS is bad for you, or THAT is bad for you.The “Key” is, ANYTHING is bad for you, IF you OVER..do it.So to say that “natural” things: such as salt, or MSG, or sugar, or even... Gluten is BAD for you is just plain NONSENSE!!! (And just plain, Alarmism 🚨🚒).So ENJOY 🎉👍🏼 MSG people!!!As the Old saying goes, “...We only have ONE life to live, so ENJOY IT!” 😉

Ajinomoto msg
I used the Ajinomoto for cooking, it boost out the flavor of the food, I really like this brand of msg, I don’t use any brand at all cause when I tried different brand it’s very strong it alters the flavor of the food. So try this brand and you will like it.

WAITING TO TRY!
Ordered it I still have some of my old pack left but once I’m done I hope it will be just as good. For the price range it wasn’t too bad, so even if it isn’t that great in quality I won’t be mad I just won’t order again

Really wish I never stopped using it.
This is an extremely good value for the price and is more than just a salt substitute. To be clear, this doesn't taste like salt. It's more that with it the need for added salt is often removed as this makes dishes much more flavorful than salt can. Would recommend getting a container to use a spoon in rather than a shaker as this amount of MSG will last a while. Not that a shaker will change much in terms of flavor so much as that it's too easy to add too much with one. It's really amazing how little of the product is really need to enhance a dish.
