Q: how does it compare to Twinings?

I would say it's an upgrade to Twinings. The Harney and Sons Earl Grey has a really nice flavor to it in that it's not too strong or too weak. I think it's a good quality tea.

Q: How many grams of this leaf is needed for a regular 12 ounce coffee cup size?

This tea is flavorful. For 12 ounces of liquid, 4 to 4 1/2 grams or 1 to 1 1/2 heaping tablespoons of tea should make for an excellent brew. It depends if your prefer strong tea or weak and the flavor of the particular tea. It also depends on how you brew our tea leaves. I use a Bosch teamaker. When I brew tea for every 6 ounce cup I put in 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons in the pot. I press the buttons for black, green etc and there are options for medium and strong. Taste test and find your norm for you. Enjoy!

Q: Is this tea decaffeinated?

Thank you for your question. Our Earl Grey black tea is not decaffeinated. It does contain caffeine. Q: Would this make good iced tea

Depends on how you like your iced tea. I suggest you make a cup and experiment. Earl Grey is flavored with citrus (bergamot), but you may prefer a different citrus, or no citrus.
