Wireless Jack
Worked fine for a couple of months and then quit all together. Previously used an RCA model which also only lasted a short while. I had them hooked to a satellite receiver.

Works Like a Charm
About 20' away from the jack, was a snap to set up and has caused no problems at all with our DirecTV receiver (standard variant, not HD). Shape and size is a little clunky but nothing that causes problems behind the TV stand, etc.

Well I'm impressed - UPDATE
I can understand people being frustrated if this item was purchased for a modem. There is nothing on the box that states the baud restriction. However, for a fax or phone system it works great. Open the box. Plug the one with two RJ-11 jacks in by your phone plug and plug in the RJ-11 cord. Plug the other one where you want your jack and plug in the RJ-ii cord At this point you will have dial tone. The almost new house we purchased was built by peple who were running out of money. Solid construction, no landscaping and no cable/voice jacks. I plan on buying another one of these.UPDATEMine stopped working after four months

Slow but convenient
I bought the Phonex under the Belkin name brand for my parent's computer. The speed usually connects at 34-36 kbps. Which for my taste is slow, but for email and simple web browsing is probably acceptable. I don't know if the wiring makes much of a difference, but their home is at least 15 years old.Installation was easy. I had it up and working in minutes.Had a interesting problem when my son accidentally reset the code on the base unit. I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. (Of course I didn't have the manual anymore) Belkin's website was no help. Phonex says reset without any instruction. RCA's website was more helpful. If you are getting interference, you may want to reset both units, first the base, then the extension. Do this by pressing the little recessed button on the side with a pen/pencil.

Phonex Jack Caught On Fire
This Phonex PX-441 wireless jack system caught on fire. Thank goodness the fuse box detected the heat and cut the electricity. It functioned fine during the prior year and a half (I was using it for TIVO dial up). This summer, we had a heat wave in Chicago where everyone was being warned to minimize electrical use. I had a window-unit air conditioner and the jack on the same circuit, but plugged into different outlets. This jack was plugged into the primary outlet. The air conditioner was turned on and my electrician friends (who did the forensic work) believe the sudden power need for this circuit resulted in the jack overloading and catching fire. The jack was definately on fire and essentially melted into the outlet plate with smoke residue 5 inches above outlet. I am trying a different wireless phone jack brand (once bitten, twice shy). I am also going to plug this into a power strip as an extra precaution.

Wireless switch
Came in very handy when my daughter wanted a switch next to her bed. The battery is pretty strong and lasts for more than 18 months. A bit noisy, but that's not a severe issue - and hey the daughter is pleased!

Phonex PX-441 works great
This is my second wireless jack system from Phonex. The first one lasted six years and failed after a series of power surges during a recent storm. I have only used this system with a Tivo and cannot vouch for its relative speed in use with a regular computer. Both the old and the new Phonex equipment installed easily and the system works great for me.The two electronic components are on separate electrical circuits and the breaker box is over 100 feet from both components so the system is working well even though the signals are traveling in excess of 200 lineal feet through the house electrical system. If you need this for a Tivo or some other similar application then you should anticipate great results. Thanks, Phonex.
