See more Review: Great tasting and versatile ingredient, helps add authenticity to my oriental cooking - yum! - I used this the other day in a pork and Chinese leaf stir fry, marinating the sliced pork with a tablespoon full for a few hours in the fridge before cooking. Results were excellent, so the sauce itself gets an easy 5 stars for its quality - the only issue I have is with the price. While reasonably priced before p&p, by the time that's been added on it gets pretty darn pricey in my opinion for such a relatively small jar. What I need is a bulk buy option to bring the average cost down to supermarket levels, but all I can see are the Lee Kum Kee options so I guess I'll try theirs next time since the rest of their range is so good. I have seen reviews saying the LKK stuff can be a little salty, but then I tend to find that as long as you stick to recipes and don't go mad adding unnecessary additional salt things generally tend to balance out fine. For the moment though this YES! variety is a good one that made a lot of difference to my own cooking so definitely worth a go. Review: Hard to find and intense flavour - Very good yellow bean flavour, and considerably more intense than I expected. Yellow bean sauce disappeared from UK supermarkets years ago, and was quite weak. First time I used this one, I used twice as much as I should have! This is good, since it makes it more economic. I'm now properly re-calibrated and buying more!

Successfully made chicken in yellow bean sauce.
I used this to make chicken in yellow bean sauce. I thought it was good, some others in the family thought it too salty but I guess that's the recipe (or my cooking)

Ended up in the bin
Awful, just awful. Itโs so salty itโs inedible so the entire dish ended up in the bin. An expensive waste of money!
