If you only want to use this just for the lightning and USB-C connectors, it works fine. However, the combo type-A/micro-B connector is problematic at best and possibly damaging at worst. It got stuck in one machine and forced it to immediately power off. I had to disassemble the machine to remove it from the port. I tried it in two other machines, which also caused them to immediately power off. I had also tried it in a few other machines, where it wouldn't plug in at all.Additionally, this product lies in stating it's USB 3.0. It'll obviously plug into a 3.0 port, and the connector is colored blue, but it is USB 2.0 only. Using Type-C, you're limited to 2.0 speeds. I obviously wasn't able to test speeds over the Type A plug, but it doesn't have enough pins for a 3.0 connector. To be fair, they only claim 30MB/s in the listing, but it's still misleading.

I was using the standard usb and had difficulty inserting it in 3 different sockets. I did get it in w/some degree of force and it worked fine. Then after 2 days it didn't register the sd card. I pulled it out to try another socked and it wouldn't go in regardless of how much force I gingerly used. I then looked closely and the micro socket within the larger socket had developted a lip which resulted in a burr-like projection on the outer surface of the plug. As a result it would no longer fit in any socket. I tried pinching it back into shape but I couldn't without distorting the whole thing. So no cigar.

The card reader came with a detailed manual in the box, it is surprising that this card reader is associated with an application that allows you to explore your file on your cell phone, it is well done and it is easy to use the truth is that I thought a very accessible product, personally I can upload my files anywhere, it adapts to any input with USB-A connectors, USB-C is computer or cell phone, has input for micro SD, is not slow and works perfectly, I was able to save my photos without any problem allowed me to transfer, read the photos of my camera. Also, in case the storage of my iPhone is full, I can move them to a memory card, it is an excellent product, I recommend them a lot.

Best invention ever. I take A LOT of photos, and I used to have an usb SD reader where it only works on a laptop. So I had to upload it on my laptop, then onto Dropbox, and download the images on my Dropbox app through my phone in order to have my images send to my phone. But with this three way card reader, I can just plug it into my phone and download all my photos from my SD card!! Instructions were super clear, and they also provided a QR code where you can just scan it and it’ll tell you which app to download. I would highly recommend getting this!

I got this because I need to save all my videos and pictures from my iPhone to get more storage space. It worked really well once I was able to figured it out. The manual is not easy to understand and that’s why it has 3 stars for easy to use. With iPhone you have to install an app to get it to work. From app you’re able to select what files ( video & pics) to save and then once selected it’ll save to the inserted sd card. It’s so much easier to transfer photos and videos from my phone to another phone or computer with this.

The unit is as advertised and connects to a Mac, iPhone and iPad easily. The software has poorly written 'english?' instructions and is limited in what it can do by way of downloading and organizing from an ios device. I have not stressed the card but it seems like a real Samsung card.

This is my second one of these - I hoped the first one was a fluke. Neither worked. At all. It was simply never recognized by either my iPhone or iPad. And both have the most recent update.I was able to transfer photos via the USB to my laptop (not where I needed the photos). Once. But it never recognized the device again.

Funny thing but PCs read the drive with SD card as USB device which thank God helped me install windows to my chromebook. It's very interesting cause I thought that the USB C port is actually for charging but not , instead of that I found that it has all kinds of connectors . USB (the normal one) , micro USB , USB C and lightning ... practicly every port . The USB C works I've tested it on my phone
