How long does the leather loop last until it breaks?

Have not had any problems with mine,nicely made wallet and chain! Works well with the 2 snaps position! Hope this helps!

Is the chain stainless steel?

Greetings, I don't no if it is Stainless steel. I use it for another purpose. It does not rust. The clip that holds the chain to the wallet broke the first day I used it. I simply do not use the chain and never intended too. It is a very good wallet, it has two parts, a separate zippered card holder and pouch. and the Bi Fold wallet. If you are looking for an excellent Wallet you cannot go wrong here, it fits my blue jean back pocket and can hold a lot of cards and has a section in the cash holder that has two slots. I highly recommend the wallet. As I stated the clip of the chain that hooks to the wallet is the weak point.
