I’ve worn them for up to three days, and even then, you’d have to really try to notice any odour and it’s still not bad. For hiking or extended off grid trips, these are excellent. In those situations, I do use wet wipes twice daily to stay fresh. However, my three day test was done without any freshening up at all. Bloody amazing. I’d estimate you could wear these for well over seven days before they smell as much as a cotton pair would after just one day. I don’t use them with the intention of being unhygienic, but when you’re trying to carry more water or food and space is limited, having just two pairs of these could easily cover you for extended periods in the wild. I’m genuinely amazed at how odour resistant they are. I also own merino wool socks and thermals, and they perform just as well in terms of odour control. I’m now looking forward to replacing more of my hiking gear with merino wool. First impression was very good. I like them. They are light and very comfortable, fit perfectly and most importantly, provide very good ventilation, removing sweat promptly. Exactly what I wanted. I am completely satisfied with their performance. However... their biggest drawback is durability or the lack of it. I got two pairs and both did not even last a year. I feel like, for the price, they should have lasted much longer. So what did I do?
