PERFECT- FOR THOSE WHO BITE NAILS WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT. WATER & SALAVIA PROOF
Wish I find this decades ago. I thought I was no longer biting nails since so short. But on the first day, I did it 4 times, each time swearing not to do it again, taste awful. Today I'm done to 2 so far. I didn't realize I was even doing it. And, even after my bath- works same way. Amazing product- it will help you retrain your brain pretty quick.

Tastes awful
Does taste gross, yes. My kid hates it but it works. I make a habit of applying every other evening after bath time. I did apply a clear holo glitter topper under the clear coat of this lacquer. I added a cuticle oil dropper to help dry / cure even quicker. Six-year-olds wait for no one. One thing of note is that the probelle bottle has a paddle wider brush versus the skinny brushes of the Onyx stop the bite lacquer. So i would say that this is best for adult fingernails as child small nail beds do better with the skinny brush. Both probelle and onyx performed equally similar. They both needed reapplication every other day, pretty standard for one coat on a kid who plays hard. And they both taste awful as designed.

I can't even eat finger foods or apply lip balm it is soooooooo bitter
Before we begin, I will be editing this in the future to share with you my success or lack thereof. I only gave my before picture of my fingers and nails, emphasized on my index finger (the worst one of all) as of 3/5/2019. Now, my mother stated that I've bitten my nails as long as I've had teeth. I have applied this only once, and my golly it's that stuff horribly bitter! The taste transfers onto the surrounding skin on my fingers and anything I touch will taste bitter. I can't eat ribs, chicken, or anything else that uses my fingers without transferring that horrible taste onto the food. Every night I would apply shea butter onto my lips after brushing my teeth, I can't do that anymore as the butter picks up the bitterness and transfers it to my lips. I had to buy lip balm containers to apply my shea butter to my lips again without it tasting awful. As horrible as it I make it sound, I need this because I don't just bite my nails, but I also chew the skin around my fingers and the cuticles. This stuff is powerful, but I've got to give it time to see if I can finally stop biting my nails. I will update this to provide my success or lack thereof, and might even change the rating. Give me some time, and I will share my results (with or without success in breaking this habit). Update (2/27/2026): my update took almost 7 years later due to the fact that there were several lapses where I had to get up and start again. Further more, the degree to which I simply tore up specifically my left index finger, it took a long time for it to recover and look reasonably normally again. But overall, I have almost completely stopped my nail biting. I still need a little bit of help though through the use of gloves to simply cover up my fingers, sugar free gum to keep my mouth busy, along with nail clippers, Emery boards, fingernail files, and tweezers I'll use to help me remove bits and pieces that tempt me to bite. I would also journal and write down what happened immediately prior to my lapses where I started to bite again. This is where I noticed a couple of patterns in my nail biting behavior: boredom, stress, and simply sitting around with inactive hands. Finding ways to cope with boredom and stress have also helped fight my nail biting. With regards to sitting, all I needed to do was stand up and I realized I was less inclined to bite my nails or surrounding skin. Anytime I would laps, I would reapply the nail polish, buy extra nail clippers, tweezers, and nail files, and start chewing on the sugar-free gum again. While I'm doing so much better than I did when I first bought this in early 2019, I still slip from time to time and it need to address whatever little triggers tempt me to bite again. Seeing how far I have come, I have hope I may be able to finally obtain cessation in my nail biting habit which began ever since I obtained my baby teeth! Another thing: the bitter tasting components seems to diffuse itself into the proteins of your fingernail. Even if you clean it off using acetone, if you are to take a bite out of your fingernails your nails will taste bitter still! That bitter taste will linger for weeks on end, more or less until your fingernails grow out such that the treated fractions of your fingernail have eventually got filed down or cut off, and only when untreated will your fingernails not have a bitter taste. Overtime, despite being transparent, it will eventually discolor and look kind of yellow until it is removed completely via acetone. You will also need to find ways to deal with inadvertent contamination. When filing your nails, the dust can transfer onto other surfaces as well as a sort of leaching of the flavor onto surfaces or substances that are oil (including petroleum) or protein based. You might need some kind of a cosmetic spatula to apply lip balm for example, abstain from finger food for a little while, and even then you may still find bitter tasting residue on various surfaces you have handled while the nail polish was on you. Take for example, I knit, and if I hold one of my knitting needles between my teeth momentarily I can detect the same bitter taste on my knitting needles. I strongly suggest that you journal as a means of self-reflection noticing behavior patterns that lead you to biting your nails help you avoid doing it again. Like myself, you may need to purchase a few tools to help you fight triggers and temptations, such as nail clippers to remove hangnails. I certainly hope other customers who use this product come to the same happy ending and potentially ceasing in their nail biting as well!

IMPORTANT FACTS
This polish claims to make you stop biting your nails . We tried it on my brother and he still does. I think the problem is my mom forgets to apply twice a week . When we applied more frequently it worked and we actually saw so.e nail growth. The polish is liquidy and smells. The taste is so bitter you can't even eat with your hands. This works if you apply twice a week and genuinely makes you stop biting your nails. It's great for anyone who wants to prevent an infection and let their nails grow but can't.

Works - happy with results - one month of use
5 Stars across the board. I have used this product for a month. The instructions are to use the product twice weekly applications. I use the product about four times a week. My hands are in warm to hot water daily as well as hand sanitizer use throughout the day. The taste gets 5 stars because it is flat out awful. And that is what I need in order to not bite my nails. This may not be the product for those who occasionally bite their nails due to stress. However if you are like me - a nail biter from a young age - in my opinion you need something that will definitely make you not want to put your nails near your mouth. I have bit my nails since youth - we are talking 30 years of nail biting. I will say I have grown my nails out in the past but I've always fallen off the nail growth path. Using this particular no bite polish has definitely kept me on track. I also added in using a cuticle/nail salve daily (sometimes twice a day) as I also saw the hang nails due to the dry skin around my cuticles also prompted me to want to bite. Adding in the nail bite polish, taking care of my nails with cuticle oil or cream daily and staying on top of applications has made a huge difference in a months time. I don't plan to grow my nails to a long length so this particular nail bite polish should last me at least another month. Using this particular polish about 4-5 times a week after a months long use and I still have a half a bottle left. I'll plan to reorder to keep using the product for a solid 4-6 months (just to ensure I stick to the goal of not biting and don't fall back in to the old habit). Price was fair - I found other products about the same price or more (on Amazon and at big box stores). Definitely happy with the product. It does taste awful - so keep that in mind!

Depends of each person.
My daughter bites her fingers. I was recommended this product, but unfortunately, it didn't work at all. At first, I applied the polish while she was asleep, and when she was about to bite it, I noticed she pulled back and said, "Perfect!" But after a while, I noticed that, despite the sour taste, she liked it! Haha, so it didn't matter, and she continued biting her nails. I imagine it depends on each person's taste preferences.

Finally something that actually works!
I’ve tried a few different nail-biting deterrents, but the Robelle Anti-Bite polish is the first one that really did the trick. The taste is absolutely awful (in the best way possible!) and it stays on for a long time—even after hand-washing. Within just a week, I noticed I was catching myself before biting. My nails are finally growing out and look healthy again. I also love that it’s safe for both kids and adults, dries quickly, and goes on clear so it’s not noticeable. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone trying to kick the habit for good. It’s such a simple product, but it makes a big difference!

First thing that has kept me from biting nails
I googled what the best thing is for nail biting and this came up. I was skeptical, having tried another kind. This was bitter enough that it has actually worked. I've been applying it every couple days and I have some nails on my right hand now, which I needed for playing acoustic guitar. Despite the repelling flavor it does not make me feel sick. It does come off so you need to re-apply every two days max.

Probelle Anti-Bite -

Works very well. Very bitter and taste stayed long.
My goodness, this really works. I got it for my 9yo to stop biting her nails. She actually wanted to gove it a try. I applied some on each nail and surrounding area, and let it dry. Then she was watching TV and forgot about it and put her finger to bite her nail and she got soo disgusted by the taste!! Keep in mind that it's very strong, so do not put a lot of the product. Even with only a very thin layer, the taste stayed in her mouth and she was drinking milk, eating bread and anything to get rid of the bitter taste. Also, wherever it touches you, your skin absorves it. We tried washing it off with soap, rubbed it off but nothing worked. The taste stayed for 2-3 days, even with a lot of washing. At some point when the taste was in her mouth, she couldn't eat anything.. After all this struggle, she stopped biting her nails though, so it's definitely working, just don't over do it, as you won't be able to get rid of the bitter taste from your lips and mouth!!!

Its the best anti bite product ive come across
I am a advid nail biter and nothing has ever ever worked for me the other things ive tried over the years just never worked. This stuff made me gag. And it stops you from putting your fingers in your mouth period. You want to lick your fingers cause you got food on them, think twice! Because that taste is going to transfer to your food. It is nasty stuff! It works wonders and I am going to reccomend it 10000 times over, I will add that your nails will have a slight green hue to them, but that color is worth breaking the habit!
