Great resource book for a variety of reading comprehension and language arts activities. I love the resource and glossary pages in the beginning of the book that give an explanation of key terms and strategies. The book is also broken down into key literacy areas (informational text, language arts practice, real world reading, etc) which enhance students ability to practice their comprehension in a variety of areas. The topics and pictures are engaging as well. As a 2nd grade teacher, I would certainly recommend this book to educators as well as parents who wish to build up and support students reading comprehension and skills!

I haven't used the whole workbook yet, but so far I think it's great! I think it's well organized and a great way to students to work through the summer to prepare for the next school year. I think it can be used as an intervention tool or even practice for students. I think it's very well organized and friendly for teachers and parents! The durability of the workbook is great as well!

The SPectrum Reading workbook is awesome! It covers a wide range of skills and has been perfect for our summer reading program. I use it daily with students as an early finisher activity. The kids love the color illustrations and the passages are interesting, not boring at all like some workbooks can be! Overall, it is a fantastic purchase!

Great workbook to use for second grade classrooms. This book works along well with the use of the IXL program. This book covers a wide range of topics for reading that follows the standards for second grade. I would use this book again for future classes in second grade. Great product!
