TrixieElla 44087 Cuddly Cave for Shelving 33 × 33 × 37 cm Grey

We recently purchased a TV unit from IKEA and our cat has been obsessed with trying to get into the cupboards. I saw this product in an ad on Facebook and was intrigued. It arrived quickly, faster than expected in fact, and was well packaged. It was very easy to put together and is fairly sturdy. There’s no top on the cube, which is fine as obviously it slides into the little cubby and the wood of the unit covers the top of the cube. There’s a very soft cushion included to make it cosy too. Our cat was a little unsure at first, so we sprinkled some catnip inside and she soon ventured in. She now happily goes in and out as she pleases and uses it as a convenient quick escape from our dog, too! 😂 It’s very snuggly and warm for her inside the cube and she seems to appreciate having a special little space all to herself. Definitely recommended if your cat enjoys sitting in boxes and sleeping inside little ‘caves’.

This is really nice & is a perfect fit in the unit. Most importantly my cat loves it! It only loses a star because the cushion is a little thin- I’ve put some fleece in to pad it out a bit.

Within five minutes of placing this in the bottom of our entertainment centre, Newt had already made herself at home. It fits securely in the Kallax shelving unit as promised and is as sturdy as the other inserts we've had for the unit. It does require a bit of airing because of the scent of the material, but that quickly disappates and seemed to bother me a lot more than it seemed to bother that cat.

It’s great and fits perfectly. Downside is my cats don’t sleep in it and instead curl up and sleep anywhere remotely illogical or comfortable. On top of the bin, bed headboards, heck even the clothes aider. If your cats aren’t weird as it’s a great buy

The cats love this!! its cosy and warm and very neat too as it fits in the shelf, so in effect I'm tidying away the cats!!The only down side is the cushion that fits inside is very thin, I had to find another cushion to fit in there to bulk it out a bit - plus it takes at least 5 days to arrive.Edit. We've had this for a while now and we have found that the cushions are very thin so the cats haven't used them in ages! It would have been better to get the cushions at least triple thickness. I can't find any cushions that would fit the boxes. So I've downgrades this to 3 stars.

For 14 years now my cat has refused all manners of cat beds. I now have a happy cat and the added bonus of him no longer fluffing up the sofa! I agree with other reviewers though, the ‘bed’ section is rather thin.

Bought this to stop my cat climbing on top of my books in my ikea kallax shelving unit and damaging them. She likes hidey holes and when I'm streaming she likes to climb on the desk to be near me so this was a perfect compromise. Instead of wrestling with her to get off my books and having to keep taking her off the desk I made a spot for her, I moved my books and put this bed there and she loves it. She went in it immediately and lay down and she's fussy, it usually takes her a while to get used to new things.Its sturdy yet flexible, its covered in grey tough fabric on the outside and smooth black fabric on the inside. It comes with a thin grey cushion to put in the bottom and a sheet of hard covered plastic to help the box keep its shape. It doesn't have top on it, I assume to keep the airflow and to keep it cooler, but if its going in a unit that won't matter.

Aber bevor ich das tun konnte, musste ich feststellen, dass ich leider ein paar Nummern zu groß dafür bin. Also habe ich es meinem kleinen Stubentiger überlassen, die Höhle auf Herz und Nieren zu prüfen.Auf den ersten Blick könnte man meinen, die Höhle sei ein graues Quadrat, das in jedes moderne Regal passt. Und ja, das tut sie auch! Aber sie ist so viel mehr als das. Es ist als hätte jemand einen kleinen, gemütlichen Bunker für Katzen entworfen, komplett mit Flauschteppich und der Aura eines exklusiven Clubs, in den nur Mitglieder mit Schnurrhaaren und vier Pfoten Zutritt haben.Die Maße 33 × 33 × 37 cm klingen erstmal nach einer gemütlichen Einzimmerwohnung für Katzen. Und genau das ist es auch! Mein Kater, der sich normalerweise für nichts interessiert, es sei denn, es riecht nach Fisch oder klingt nach einem Öffnen einer Futterdose, war sofort fasziniert. Er hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Kuschelhöhle Ella in sein tägliches Schlaf-, Spiel- und Überwachungsprogramm zu integrieren.Die Montage? Ein Kinderspiel! Oder besser gesagt, ein Katzending. Einfach ins Regal stellen, und fertig ist die Laube. Oder in diesem Fall: die Kuschelhöhle. Mein Kater hat das Konzept des "Rein und Raus" schneller verstanden als ich beim ersten Mal IKEA-Möbel zusammenbauen. Und das will was heißen!Jetzt zum wichtigsten Teil: Wie steht es um die Gemütlichkeit? Laut meinem Kater, der leider nicht sprechen kann, aber dessen zufriedenes Schnurren Bände spricht, ist es ein absoluter Traum. Er verbringt Stunden darin, rollt sich zusammen, streckt sich aus, oder beobachtet hochmütig sein Königreich von diesem grauen Thron aus.Insgesamt würde ich sagen, die Trixie 44087 Kuschelhöhle Ella für Regal ist ein Volltreffer. Sie vereint Stil mit Komfort und passt sich nahtlos in jedes Wohnambiente ein. Mein Kater gibt ihr 5 von 5 Sternen – und wenn er könnte, würde er wahrscheinlich noch einen Extra-Stern für die einfache Montage dazugeben. Ein Muss für jeden Katzenhalter, der seinem Vierbeiner einen kuscheligen Rückzugsort gönnen möchte, ohne dabei auf Stil zu verzichten.
