Yes, they are thin, 100% cotton towels—but surprisingly, they absorb very well, and I don’t mind that they’re thin. After one wash, they were soft, kept their color, and didn’t leave any lint on my body. I like that they’re long but a bit narrower. I also appreciate that the dobby border (the decorative band) is simple and on both ends, so I can switch it around or use the other end if I decide to hang them as hand towels. They are very soft, they are absorbent and they are true to size. The only thing that was unexpected was the thickness. Compared to other towels the same size and made of the same material these are thin. On the shelf next to ones I bought a year ago it takes 2 of these to be as thick as one of the old ones. For some that may be a plus, so there ya go. Also they looked like they were going to be white but that was not the case. Not a true white. I honestly cannot tell if it is a pale gray or a pale blue, but it is not a true white. They look like I washed them in hot water with something that bleed dye. Over all I gave them 4 stars because my husband fell in love with how soft they are and the price. Two bath sheets for $20 is a great deal.
