It will make you cry, but in a good way. Great performances, amazing songs, brilliant remake. Definitely worth every penny.

I love the film (see review elsewhere), but the quality of the music is excellent - and naturally, Lady Gaga's material and performances on here are a great reason to buy. She is such a versatile and first-class singer that she can pretty much smash everything she records.'Shallow' is the most familiar song, but like any soundtrack album is spoiled by the addition of the crowd noise in keeping with the stage performance in the film. I can see why they do this, but it spoils the audio-only experience. Why they add dialogue from the film is equally puzzling; if I really wanted to listen to those moments from the film I would surely watch it again.There some outstanding songs here: 'Always Remember Us This Way' is right out of the top drawer is a beautifully written, performed and produced song. It shows Lady Gaga is at the top of her game right now as a writer and performer, but if you are in any doubt, the massive finale 'I'll Never Love Again' is truly breathtaking. It is better than Whitney at her finest.Bradley Cooper's excellent contributions are inevitably overshadowed by a world musical superstar at her peak, but I think he's done a great job and his tracks sit nicely in an album which is a very enjoyable listen overall.So why only four stars? It would have been a better album without the dialogue from the film and the tracks kept as clean recordings with no crowd effects.Finally - I am disappointed that the Amazon page suggested I was getting a deluxe edition when I received the standard edition. On revisiting the page, the full details suggested it was Deluxe, whereas at the top, it suggested it wasn't. So ... make sure you are ordering what you think you are.

It is a stunning sound track! I love all the songs which is very rare!

Brilliant.

As well as the songs from the film, the CD included extracts from the film's dialogue, which I didn't expect. I am very pleased with the CD.
