This toy is long lasting. Our dog may destroy the squeek quite early but cannot remove it or the any inside stuffing. This is the best price I have paid for this toy that is available as several other animals .... altho out of stock.

Bought this in size XL for our Golden Retriever puppy who is almost 4 1/2 months old and around 40lbs. It is the perfect size for him for now. We've owned this since we brought him home at 2 months old and this has by far been his favorite toy. His favorite thing to do is play fetch with it and carry it around making it squeak then shaking it while in his mouth. As far as durability, well it's much tougher than my hand is, lol. But seriously, he loves to play fetch with it, so we throw it around outside and inside for him to bring to us. When he brings it back, he hasn't learned to "give it" yet and likes to play a bit of tug and war first and he's extremely rough with it. It's made it through his puppy teeth which just fell out but they (I ordered 2 he takes turns with) are due to be replaced now. You can see a few little spots on them where his teeth poked through and as small as the spots are he somehow manages to pull filling out of them. Hoping to get him to play fetch with one of those hard neon orange balls but so far, no interest in those. I might try and order another one of these since those darn puppy teeth are finally gone and hope they're a bit gentler.
