I have a 4.6lbs Parti Yorkie who is trying this for the first time. He loves it! I got the package July 29th. I gave him one that day. Today is August 1st and he still has a way to go. I haven’t seen any splinters or anything. He’s just shaving off what he can with his teeth. They’re hard enough that he hasn’t bitten through it. I bought the small dog size. It’s perfect for him. It fits in his little mouth just fine. Keeps him from chewing our shoes, carpet and etc ... I highly recommend them for aggressive chewers his size. I love the nice sack I get to keep them in too. I’ll reuse it for other things when we run out. I don’t see that happening quickly. I feel like there are plenty in there. I’ll try to update my review once he’s done with this one to give an idea of how long it lasted. Thanks for reading. I hope this helps someone. Update: 1/16/2020 My pup absolutely loved these! He is now 5.13 pounds. I gave him his first one August 1st 2019. He’s now on his last one. 5 months later! He’s still a power chewer. I feel like I got my money’s worth. Still no splinters or anything. He just shaves it off with his teeth. I highly recommend.

My dogs can chew through bones like crazy. Small dogs, Shih tsu & Bichon. I don't want to give them raw hides any more and was told to check out Yak Cheese. These don't make a huge greasy mess like other real bones and they last forever. They are very hard but not as hard as an antler. When they get small, you can microwave them, they puff up like a cheeto. They will break if dropped onto a hard surface, but then we just microwave them if this happens. Good value, will get more when we run out.

We received the 3 pack medium chews a few days ago. They're a great size and keep my 40 lb lab entertained for hours. He chewed them inside and out without any mess or odor, which I love! I also love the 100% recyclable, eco-friendly packaging which I haven't seen any other brand do. A high-quality, sustainable treat I’ll definitely buy again!

While my dog absolutely loves these, and they are a healthier option than raw hides, a cleaner option than hooves or bones, they do have their down side. I bought the size recommended for my dog breed and size, but my dog easily finished it off in about 2-1/2 days. I was watching him closely when he gnawed it down 2/3's, because I was afraid he'd swallow the end without chewing it; unfortunately, he must have swallowed it. It disappeared, no where to be found, one minute there, the next minute gone...and he had a throwing up episode later in the night. No sign of the end of the dog treat though. The instructions on the product listing or on the bag says to save the ends, put them in the microwave for a specified amount of time, which will make them crunchy when they cool down, making it safe to give as a treat to finish it off. So next time, I plan to order a larger size and may look for a treat pouch that will prevent him from being able to swallow a chunk whole. I don't know if such a thing exists for dogs. Considering how quickly my dog is able to finish them off, the price is an issue. I just won't be able to let him have one to gnaw on every week. Other than the cost and the safety concern, it is a good product, since it has no other added ingredients. I was looking for something healthy, safe, and clean that he would really enjoy. He is an aggressive chewer, so maybe the larger size will eliminate my worry that he will swallow and choke on the ends.

I would love to be able to give these a five star review because if I had only carpeted floors, these would have lasted longer with my dog's chewing habits than any other chew bones and toys that I have tried. Anything else and they are gone within a few hours. He enjoys the flavor and chews on it constantly. However, one was shipped to us broken and the pieces are too small for him to chew on. So I basically only paid for two. The first one I had given him and he dropped it on the floor within the first 30 minutes and a big piece broke off. The third one, he's been chewing on nicely for 3 days and good portion of it was still left....so much longer than anything else I have ever given him, but today he dropped it out of his mouth and it's broken in half and can't be chewed on any more. For the price that these are, I would expect them to last longer than 3 days, especially when only one out the 3 has lasted longer than a day. We've tried other yak chews which he chews up within several hours but he also prefers the flavor of the others than this brand. However, he still likes these but given a choice, he would pick other brands and sticks over these. My smaller dogs refuse to have anything to do them and prefer bully sticks but they also aren't the big chewers of the house either. If I didn't receive one already that was useless and another one that broke within a half hour, I would rate these higher because they do last if your dog doesn't walk around with them and drop them. My aussie is high energy though, and can't sit still with them for long. I'm not sure how likely I would be to buy these again. On one hand, it has kept him very occupied for the past few days but then I'm not sure that one yak chew is worth it for the price that I paid.

Not good for your dog. Sharp edged chunks break off causing choking hazard. I missed one chunk and my dog fortunately coughed it up a few hours after I took the treat from him, along with a good bit of BLOOD! Also, unlike all other Amazon sellers I have purchased from, THEY DON’T OFFER REFUNDS.

My dogs love these! They are a little pricey for me but when I’m able to I like to treat my dogs with these since they love them so much. And I feel like they are a healthier option than some other products out there. I’m not saying that they are overpriced. I’m just saying I have a tight budget so I’m not always able to get them. But the dogs really enjoy these and they tend to last a bit longer than other chews.
