Cooks fast!
I previously used Siva's brand which I bought from Indian store. It used to take more than half an hour to cook just to cook the dal! I was surprised this one cooked in probably 10 minutes? Saves lot of time and electricity when cooking on electric stove! The sambhar was also creamy and yum with this dal! Used it the first time today, haven't noticed any stones or odor like the other reviews say. Will order again

Delicious and surprisingly fresh.
I was referred to this product by a nutritionist, and it is delicious. It was my first time using this brand, and I was surprised of how fresh it tasted for a dried product. Find a good recipe.. and when it calls for split pigeon peas pickup this product!

Real toor dal
This is real toor dal, hard to get if you don't live near an Indian grocery store. The price is not bad. Less than gas + cost, even at a relatively nearby store.
