I have a fiberglass body that I am spraying with raptor bedliner. Should I first use primer after sanding then grip?

I am not a body expert but I did my ARE fiberglass tonneau cover with the raptor on the exterior. I sanded with 120 discs and them wiped down with denatured alcohol. I did not have prep cleaner. Six months later it is still looking like I just sprayed it. I hope that helps. I'm sure the are body people who will say different.
