Q: How do i add gear oil?

Remove tip screw on the lower unit behind propeller, if oil is not to bottom of s few hole add 90w120 gear oil

Q: Gas cap says oil + gas on this unit. i assume it gas only! also the h and the l on the throttle looks like it's reverse, h is idle l is full speed?

correct gas only and yes throttle is backwards

Q: Where can i find a replacement aluminum prop for this motor? it says it uses a 7 1/4x7-a prop, but i can't find one.

I got an aluminum prop its for a 2.25 Yamaha but fit perfect here is the part number 6f845942-01-el

Check oil before you use it.

Simply put, it's a great little jon boat or sail boat motor. It does about 10mph with just me on a 12'x4' flat bottom 3 seat job boat, it's air cooled so the salt water doesn't hurt anything in the engine, the 4 stroke engine is quiet enough for what I wanted, only thing is it has to rev up pretty high to get the clutch to engage. So slow quiet idling it's possible

DOA - Blue Smoke, Grinding Noise, Bad Engine

The media could not be loaded. It’s a crap shoot, I knew it… After checking the YouTube reviews, Amazon Reviews and some serious thinking… I bought this motor. My video review is at first start with Engine Oil, Gear Oil and 91 octane gas at $4.25 a gallon. Product was packed very well. Should you buy this? No… I wouldn’t not recommend this outboard.
