The tip allows you to precisely apply it to the zipper teeth and not on the fabric. **Q: Will this make them easier to unsnap¿ say, in the wind?** A: In my experience, yes, it will help with snaps. How much it helps depends on how much of the product has worn off since it was applied and of course how strong the snap is. Not a lot of the product is needed to begin with, just a thin coating on all bearing surfaces. I renew the coating when the snap gets stubborn again.
