Weight demands padding for the handle... but holds pressure for literally weeks
Bought this to address a problem with my mother's Honda Fit (have to wrench off wheel covers to top off tires with air, due to too-short valve stems -- thanks, Honda bean counters :| So rather than drive the car to a gas station on tires with 25 psi in them (or whenever she'd eventually inform me 'the car's acting weird')... I'd do as I used to at the track racing motorcycles, and just maintain a tank of compressed air to top off every then and again. It's a big tank... feeling car tires have a lot more air volume in them than motorcycle tires (for which a 7-gal tank was fine for a trackday and/or practice & race), was a good call even for the Fit's dinky ones. Heavy enough for me to cut a pool noodle and wrap around the sheet metal handle, but really that's the only demerit I can find. Aluminum valve knob so no chance of it shattering. And the length it's held 110 psi, is astounding -- longer than tires can hold 35 psi for sure. I've seen 7-gal tanks here for $60, so an 11-gal one that holds pressure like a champ is worth every penny. Would gift to someone in a heartbeat ;)

Excellent tank for the price. Toss the junky hose and manifold though.....
Got this primarily to serve as additional air storage for my 25 gallon compressor... as such I'm primarily reviewing the tank itself which is quite good. The manifold, hose, and air chuck that comes with this are unsuitable as they restrict flow. By adding a T fitting in place of the manifold you can put the gauge on one end and a quick connect chuck on the other. This lets you fill the tank in 12 seconds as opposed to 2-3 minutes using the tire valve on the manifold. It can be safely filled to 150 PSI (150 PSI is well within safety parameters for this 125 PSI rated vessel) and mine has held pressure for weeks at a time with less than 10 PSI lost. It's a pity they don't already come like this from the factory though. It is a bit heavier than I thought it would be but I doubt anyone takes these hiking. You're far better off with higher capacity that you can use but extra weight then a light unit that won't hold enough air. Of course you could go with an aluminum tank but they cost 3 times as much.

Well constructed
I'm perhaps the exception, in that I did not buy this tank as an airtank. It was the correct size and the easiest way for me to get a metal container of these rough dimensions to build a new gas forge. The tank was surprisingly sturdy and made from (about) 12ga steel. The welds are all well done and I imagine the tank would last quite a while in its intended role. The dials were made from cheaper bronze-coated aluminum and are not designed to be replaceable, but if they were to fail, they could be replaced easily. I was particularly impressed by the paint, which was applied thick and took a significant amount of heat to get rid of - paint stripper took some of it off with scraping, and 3000F flame took a great deal of time to damage the paint. Had I known it would've withstood forging heats I'd probably have just left it on.

I did not use this product for what it was intended.
I had an employee of my weld a emglow compressor and motor on this rascal. Extremely heavy now, but it’s held up to all the welding we did on it. Don’t know if the seller will like me saying this but a great tank overall, very durable tank especially if you don’t want to just use it as a portable air tank.

Best of you add a Locking Air Chuck, Heavy Duty Open Flow
Cheap made hose is a two handed applicator! Would be better served if it came with what I added to mine. A Locking Air Chuck, Heavy Duty Open Flow… Game changer far as I can tell

Portable air tank
In the process of installing a new manifold and hose on my old tank, I noticed that it was years past its throw-away date ... Having previously worked in the RV business, I am aware of expiration dates on LP gas cylinders .... Well worth the money anytime gas or air pressure is being used. I saw a video of an air tank explosion once, and I want no part of it! Please keep current tanks on hand!

Caution with first use of the On/Off valve
The On/Off valve arrived so tight, that I had to open it using a wrench. It was obviously overtightened at the factory when installed. I didn't have a lot of confidence in the treading of the On/Off valve--it felt like it was cross threaded from the factory. I've used it twice and so far it does not leak. Otherwise, the quality, construction and welds look good.

very dissatisfied with the product and the service
I ordered this over a month ago. I cancelled the order the next day. It arrived today and is basically a badly welded tank with a 50p valve fitted to it. The claim the inlet valve fir any compressed air source" is a joke. I have 50 odd air connectors and none of them fit this. It looks like a standard car tyre input valve. now looking at it and wondering how much it will cost me to return an item i cancelled 3 weeks ago but was still delivered regardless.
