I bought these at the request of my nine year old as he read some at school. They are very easy to read and give a good overview of what Shakespeare was writing about. The set was good value. I'm not sure what age group they are aimed at but I believe they are aimed more at 6 - 8 year olds. I gave it 4 stars as i hoped for a bit more depth for my 9 and 11 year old. If they were younger I would give it 5 stars.

My five year old boy loves listening to these stories and they are just the right length for the bedtime read. They are a great introduction to Shakespeare - not the poetry, but at least the main characters and basic thrust of the stories.My son's particular favourite is Hamlet, we have already read it several times - basically because everyone dies (some children like this!).
