Excellent gaming mouse, flawless laser tracking!
The G502 Hero is a good all round gaming mouse which has constantly provided me with 100% precise & reliable tracking.Good non-slip grip, comfortable, nice option to lock/unlock mouse wheel, clicks or free spinning, adjustable weight(s), plenty of cable.I cannot fault this mouse for any PC gaming or everday general desktop use, especially when using Photoshop as the pointer tracking is pixel perfect, this is the 2nd one I've bought. My 1st one lasted me ruffly 3 years before the rubber grip where thumb sits wore a bald spot, the outer rubber cable that exits the mouse rubber cord grip somehow split there about half an inch exposing the inner protective metal braiding, I repaired it with a bit of heat shrink, that said my old G502 Hero still works perfectly in everyway, no button click wear on any buttons, no mouse wheel wear from scrolling/spinng the wheel up & down, flawless tracking, flawless scrolling, still doesn't miss a beat, just put away as a spare for now.I bought a new G502 to go with a new custom built PC, plus it happened to be on offer for £29, which is a really good deal, especially for what it has given me the last 3 years!Windows 10 & 11 will detect it straight away when plugged into any USB socket as a generic plug & play mouse which will work immediately, BUT... to get the most out of the G502 Hero definitely goto the Logitech website, download & install the Logitech G Hub software, this will allow you to customise & configure everything on the mouse, from the DPI, changing light colours, macros, remap mouse buttons & wheel etc, as well as other features, it's not gutsy on the system either & will sit quietly in the background on startup, though go into the G Hub settings & untick "send usage data" & "send error logs". Never had any errors with mouse or software. The only negatives with the G502 Hero I can think of after 3 years of gaming & general family use:Rubber grips & outer sheath on mouse cable could be a bit tougher so its more durable to wear over time.If you're looking to replace an old gaming mouse, this one does it's job & is reliable performance wise!

I Like The "Free" Wheeling Mouse Wheel Once You Get Used To It And The Mouse Feels Very Good
I burn through mouses pretty quickly up to now.. I usually stop off in a CEX or other second hand store and buy them cheap as I tended to suffer pretty bad "Gamer Rage" until I stopped drinking. Many a keyboard and mouse have lost their lives, and their buttons and plastic bits, after being heavily slammed against the desk and then thrown at the wall in many fits of anger at someone being 0.01 seconds faster than I am..But with age, and a more serene approach to gaming I decided to splash out on a more expensive mouse.I saw the Logitech G G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse and decided I would buy one and try it out.Anyway, I just wanted to say that the thing I love most about this mouse, and I have been using it for around 3-4 weeks now, is that the mouse wheel is free moving.. That is it spins until you stop it..Rather than trying to locate the little side bar and then move that up and down as required, the free wheeling mouse wheel is really much easier to scroll with, once you get used to it.A bit like a fast forward.. You spin it to the bit you want and then stop it.I did see that some people hated this particular facet of the Logitec Hero, but for me it is rather good.Other than that it is rather well weighted. but there are MORE weights if you want it even heavier, it glides across my mouse mat like a yacht on water. It is easily controllable, has many buttons that you can program, and is great between your fingers. The placement of everything is very, very good.I bought mine for less than 25 quid.. I am not sure I would pay much more, but I am glad I did.

Great mouse, huge improvement over Razer
A really comfortable mouse with loads of options and settings.Feels great in my hand and really responsive, I love the free scroll wheel and the ability to change the mode of the scroll. The addition of weights is also appreciated as I've been used to a heavier mouse previously. It feels great for gaming and the software comes with many options to key bind the buttons on the mouse, with pre set options for games, as well as the ability to set manually.

One Of The Best For The Price!
Firstly I would like to talk about the general feeling,PROS: The mouses size is really good even for people with big hands (which i have), The grips on the sides of the mouse have a nice feel to them, I like The Responsiveness from the mouse clicks. The Added Weight is a nice touch I prefer something that's not too light and not too heavy.CONS: However there is a down side because the scroll wheel sometimes changes modes without me pressing the button and sometimes the scroll wheel feels like it's on both modes at the same time giving it a weird feelingOVERALL: I would recommend this mouse because its Functionality, Durability, Weight Customisation, Price and The Responsiveness from the clicks outweighs the cons. Worth the upgrade!! 4/5.

Rock-solid reliability – my second G502 and still impressed
After a frustrating experience with a different brand, I came back to what I knew would work — the Logitech G502 Hero. This is actually my second G502, and once again, it just works right out of the box. No weird software bugs, no broken wireless functions, no random firmware issues — just plug it in and go.My first G502 served me flawlessly for years, and only started acting up recently due to the right-click wearing out — which is expected after such heavy daily use. That kind of longevity and consistency is rare these days. The build quality, ergonomics, and performance are still excellent. It feels familiar, responsive, and dependable. Exactly what I needed after wasting time troubleshooting a brand-new mouse from another brand. If you're looking for a mouse that works now and keeps working for years — go with Logitech. Lesson learned (again).
