Value for money
Is it a manual process sort coins? Yes. Is it easy to use? Also yes. You do need to make sure you don't put a ton of coins in, or it will be difficult to filter them through. A handful works great, and sorts quickly. The coin holders work great, and have more than enough clearance to allow the paper coin sleeves to fit over them. The round sleeves are okay, butbI had difficulty with some coming partially "unwound" inside, making it very hard if not impossible to use. I prefer the flat sleeves you get from a bank or credit union, just make sure you "round" them out beforehand. I took a glue stick with a tapered cap and used it as a form. In all, for the money, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.

Excellent low cost way to sort your coins
Across the ages human kind has asked the deep questions: Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? How much money is my 5 gallon water jug turned coin bank? I leave it to Philosophers, Clergy, and social media trollers to wrangle the first two questions but I was determined to get to the meat of the last. A search for coin sorter/counters gave me many options. I could spend more money than is likely to be in said jug to buy an fully automated sorter that will count the coins and dump them into tubes for me. Seemed like a zero sum game, spending all your coins just to find out how many you have. Besides, how lazy am I? Continuing the search I saw manual/crank based sorters. These beasties would not count the coins but with some elbow grease would sort them. High maintenance, those. Check for coins in side ways else you may damage the plastic gears! And then there was this sleeper. The coins will sort themselves with the aid of gravity and some shaking - brilliant! This works fantastic, and was a fraction of the cost of other options. A few shakes and all your pocket change is in their own tray. The tubes are easy to fill for the paper coin wrappers, and the wrappers slip over the coins with ease. In mere moments not only have I sorted those metallic devils but I have also wrapped and stacked them, ready for a trip to the bank. I say again, brilliant! And as to the answer of how many coins in that jug? That will remain a secret between me and these colorful plastic beauties. I won't be buying a yacht anytime soon is all I am saying.

Mostly functional coin sorting kit.
Worked well enough for me to roll more than a hundred dollars worth of coins I had lying around. If I do this twice, I've broken even with Coinstar and will be netting profits. With that in mind, this is a great value, and seems to be durable enough for this to be useful for a long time as long as it's taken care of. The plastic coin tubes weren't always exact with the counts, and the sorting trays become clogged when you dump too many coins in at once. My only other complaint was that the paper coin rolls weren't the highest quality, but they were serviceable. Overall these issues are easy to workaround and now that I understand the limitations of this set, I'm happy with it.

Quick, Easy, and Non Motorized! Great buy and should use forever!
Love this product, so easy to sort as the coins flows thru to each compartment level it needs to be on. Everything color coordinated from Sorter, Stacker, and rolling papers, which makes it easy to identify which goes with which. Genius product! One complaint I had was it was short 2 quarter and 2 Nickel rolls and the box was damaged and ripped as if someone returned it. Even still it did the job I was looking to accomplish.

Works but time consuming and a bit pricy
A relatively inexpensive solution compared to other solutions, although $15 for 4 plastic trays is still too pricy. Only small patches can be processed at a time - 3/4 of a tray - requiring numerous “panning” and emptying of the sort trays to ensure proper function. Always accurate, and better than sorting one at a time, this method requires a lot of work: stacking, pouring, shacking and clearing into other containers before rolling! Not enjoyable if taking on a large quality of coins. Still a time saver but should be under $10. May return given this is not something I plan to di again!

Works well and kind of fun!
We've actually been having fun sorting our change! The trays are great, just don't over-fill them. The funnels work well - the rolls can be hard to work into the tube, but we've gotten them all to fit. We've already run though the sleeves that come with the kit so I can attest that rolls from the bank work too - maybe even a little better because they are already rounded.

Mostly 4 stars for the trays!
I was needing something like this for my son who's been collecting a lot of change over the year. This looked perfect and everything was great until it was time to put the coins in the paper rolls. Directions say to "slide paper roll over the coins". Hahaha! Have the creators even tried to do this themselves? I'm sorry but it went from a fun, separating and counting to tears of fruststration because it's SUPER hard to get the coins in the wrappers. Just like the old days when we did it by hand, yes well same thing. But I was thinking I was paying for an easier way to do that part. Anyway, the sorter is really cool and the funnels work well and I like how everything is color coordinated. Course if they had the coin amount on the funnels and trays that would've been even better since the room was not real bright and the orange and red looks very similar. Overall, if you the parent don't mind filling the dumb wrappers like we always had to this is a great little kit. If you wanted it as something your children could do on their own completely, I would pass on it. Or buy something that will fill the wrappers, which I can't seem to find. Anyone know of one?

The penny counter is pretty useless considering the coin was abolished 8 years ago, coupled with the fact that it's virtually worthless. The slit in the tubes used for counting money is also not very useful, it doesn't count the coins right meaning you have to do it yourself as you put them in the tubes. Still heaps faster than rolling by hand though

Ordered for Canadian Coins, didn’t work for sorting or rolling the coins

Does a good job of sorting coins. You still need to count and stuff them into the tubes. I was hoping for something more automatic but this does the job well.
