Great Stuff 11000714 Stuff Pestblock 12 oz Insulating Foam Sealant, 1 12 Ounce, Grey Review: Works nicely once you figure out how much to (not) spray - Spray foam is tricky if you have never used it. I got it all over the place, didn't get enough some places, and got too much other places. But this product was consistent, curing into solid and tight material. I used it with light copper mesh. I was able to spray through the mesh and then spray over the mesh. Take that, Roof Rats! By the way, I used the one can in three separate sessions by immediately cleaning the straw with about 1/4 cup of acetone (from the hardware store) in a gallon plastic bag (seal the bag tightly.) You also need to pour a teaspoon or so into the top of the can after removing the straw. Review: Seems to work quite well. - The ratings ask about flavor? Seriously? Anyway, this should be combined with some copper mesh because a rodent that has been coming in through a hole will dig out soft foam to re-open the hole. If it hits sharp copper mesh that is stuck in place, that should stop the rodent. For rodents new to the neighborhood, foam that expands to stop air flow and the aroma of food from coming out the hole should keep them from being attracted. I poked copper mesh in to the center of the wall, then sprayed foam in from both sides. This stuff continues to expand for about 10 minutes after application. It is easier to trim back flush with the wall while it is still soft, but that is a bit of a gooey mess. Bring paper towels. Be ready to do all your holes in one session because the nozzle will plug up when it dries.

Great sealant/insulation....... but can't reuse can for jobs later.
Got this to fill in some voids around holes cut into base plate of house just above foundation used to run inlet and outlet PVC pipes for condensing furnace as well as the lines from the outdoor AC unit. Having learned the hard way in using expanding foam in the past and having it create a mess due to the extent it expands and it's glue like stickiness, I took care not to overfill gaps and wised up and used surgical gloves. This doesn't expand about 10x as some others do by the time they finally set, which is good. But for anything but large voids, you can't avoid it expanding further than flush. If it matters, the excess can be safely carved off with a knife or saw. It's a one use can, as the product will likely harden in the valve and render it useless after time has passed. So I looked around for other voids I might fill and found some in the area where ducts entered the chimney. In general, this stuff is very good for filling voids where sealing and insulation are required. Only real downside is as I mentioned, that it's pretty much a one use can and unless you have a lot to fill, will likely end up wasting a lot of it.

Always keep a bottle of this on hand
Remember. It will expand. Lol I had work on my front porch done. They left a hole by the pillar. So I sprayed this. Upside down is kinda hard. Make sure u shake good After an hour it expanded. Now I have to cut some off but no wasps!!! So Iโm okay with it. This is the stuff to get. Cheap and works good. And keep around your house Incase you need it. Once this bottle runs out. Iโll order me another one

Works to fill gaps, but one use only
Good for filling gaps. Do a small area to get the feel of how it flows and expands first. However the big downside of this product is that it is basically one time use then toss. There is a straw that needs to be attached to the spout on the top of the can and pushed down to have the foam come out. The problem is that the foam will dry inside the straw and make it unusable, so make sure you get what you need to get done the first time around. It doesn't dry instantly inside the straw, but within 24 hours mine did. When using it make sure you're checking that the straw is fully screwed on, since if it loosens foam will spurt out onto your hand (make sure to wear gloves). Still, it worked for what I needed, just would have been nice to been able to keep the remainder in the can around for another day. Not sure how well the foam deters pests, but this was very close to the price of the basic version so I figured hey why not. Also to amazon... why are you asking me to rate the flavor of this foam? At no time should anyone ever even consider putting this stuff in their mouths.

Great at filling cracks
This stuff works great, and I plugged many holes in my rental property. I have no idea why Amazon asks for the flavor in the reviews, no one should ever taste this. One thing everyone needs to know about great stuff, is that it gets on everything, so always use gloves with this. Also I always use a full can at once cuz I've never been fully successful at using it later, it always seems to harden at the can.

It seems to be true that rats don't like chewing this stuff.
Works freat. Really sticky. If you get this stuff on something, it ain't coming off without a fight. Supposedly, it has a bitter taste rodents don't like. I have never tasted it. I'll take their word for it. All I know is, I installed it 2 months ago, and none of it has been chewed. The only downside is, once you install the spray tube, and start using the foam, you have to use up the whole can. If you let it sit over night, you will not get any more out in the morning.

Great stuff is great stuff.
Works great, but be aware that the can even states that you may only get one use out of the can. Very sticky product. I always seem to use too much and end up making a mess. But, that is on me, not the product. I use it to fill cracks in the exterior wall at work where bees and wasps try to live. Unless you are patient, the tube is a one-use wonder.
