Should advertise that won't play on most UK players.Bought it as US import on advert. I know my player will play certain US imports as have bought some before, no problem, hence why I bought this set.

Non of these movies are restored for blu ray. But it's the only way you can get the second and third movie on blu ray. The second looks the best. But the third was shot in 3d and shown in the theatres in 3d back in 1983. This is a region one north America and japan region release. However you can buy a all region 3d blu ray player on amazon.comuk. I bought one so I could play europeon blu rays and 3d blu rays. The first movie was a major hit film back in 1979 and it was based on a book about a "true" event. The second movie is also based on the horrifying murders that took place in the house. The house is still there on long island new York, a huge island of the coast of New York City. And there have been a total of 12 movies made about the house. The first three were major studio efforts the last nine were made to video/dvd/blu ray releases. So these are the best of the films for sure. The remake of the first movie from 2004 is absolute crap so afford that movie. But the real reason to get this boxset is the third movie. Which is the weakest story wise but it was shot in 3d and looks mostly pretty good. However, there is a lot of red lines off background senery in things like fence posts etc. The overall effect though is pretty good other than that. And this is the only way to get a early 1980' 3d film on blu ray. At least the print is clean! and there's no lines or scratches. Other than the red or blue lines caused by digitalizing this film and not restoring it. That's not print damage. So the story is ok but the film has a lot of things flying at you and is not that bad. I wish they would put out more 3d films on blu ray! This is a way to get a imperfect 3d film that is still a good watch. And thankfully 'house of wax 3d" is now out on blu ray 3d as well. but I do recommend getting a all region 3d blu ray player , there are some models that won't break he bank. Those will play any blu ray from anywhere in the world as well as any 3d blu ray from anywhere and any dvd from anywhere in the world. SO it's worth your while to get one. And to get this boxset if you want to get the second and third films on blu ray and 3d blu ray for the third. Just don' expect a modern sharp image from these old films. That is the same with most older 3d flicks and such. And unless these films are restored , then this is the best you can hope for.
