We were so tired of replacing batteries every two weeks in our wireless doorbell. When I saw the Avantek wireless doorbell I ordered it as a replacement. It works with kinetic energy and does not require any batteries. We ordered the stick on one and have had no problems. It was simple to set up, and an instruction sheet comes with it. It is simple to adjust the volume. A its loudest it is very loud. There are so many ringtones to choose from and all have a beautiful digital sound. The receiver plugs into any outlet. I plugged it into the bottom outlet and it is small enough to leave the top outlet free. We've only had it for a month, but so far love this wireless bell. It was a great value and we expect many years of service.

My land lord is very cool and doesn't have any working doorbells for the upstairs apartments of my building, so I got this and it's been working great for the past year! No batteries to change or anything, no sensitive electronics to worry about being damaged by weather. Just stuck it onto the wall with no damaging adhesive downstairs, wrote my apartment number in sharpie on it, and plugged in the receiver at the outlet in my apartment closest to where the button was installed.Has nice volume settings so I can turn it down to not wreck my ear drums every time it rings. Also seems consistent. I've never missed a pizza delivery, friend visit, or package needing signature since installing.Would reccomend to anyone else suffering from do nothing land lords

Our 40 years old doorbell system became unreliable.It was time to replace our home old wired doorbell system because we missed several scheduled deliveries.I have done some research.I have decided to replace it with a kinetic power-driven over a battery-operated or a wired system.I purchased two Avantek doorbells for our house.I tested both units before I installed them near the front door of our house.I also made labels for each unit. It was the hardest part of the installation. The installation was easy. The new doorbell system worked perfectly.It survived the heat wave.We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will survive the NE winter weather. We love it.Now we have a reliable and dependable doorbell system for our home. Thank you, Avantek.

I received this when promised and took it out of the packaging and within a few minutes, had it installed and working. Easiest doorbell I have ever had and when it is cold or raining I am looking forward to not having to take it off and put in a new battery. Just got it and works great now. Time will tell how it survives the winter weather.

I love this new doorbell. Many chimes to choose from. So far they are all very pleasant rings and even better, no battery or tedious installation because it's powered from my regular electric outlet. No wires running all over the house and no very rare batteries to locate and purchase. Also, you can choose from over 52 different chimes, so your not stuck with an annoying chime you can't tolerate. I highly recommend this system.

UPDATE: I did manage to reach the manufacturer yet sadly, this purchase was a waste of $17. They requested a video of the non-working doorbell, though by then the unit had died completely, with no sound at all any longer.Not sure what help it could be, but I videoed me pushing the button and no sound coming from the doorbell. They kept claiming they couldn't see the video, although it attached fine, I could play it back, and showed as transmitted. I sent it 3 different times, then did a new video with my webcam, and sent that. I never heard back, never received a replacement unit.This was easy to install and worked well while it worked. Unfortunately, it only lasted about 2 months since being installed. The button is installed in a weather-protected area, and it is supposed to be weatherproof. I do believe it is the receiver portion that has gone bad. It now will not shut off the sound, though the sound is more of an electronic tapping rather than one of the many available sounds.I also purchased a different unit (with a nightlight, besides!) for $10 to choose between, but my grandson really liked the dog bark "song" on this unit so we kept both, and I used the nightlight one in my classroom.I did send a message to the seller so hopefully, it will get replaced. I'll be back to update this review if I hear back on a replacement.

My home's doorbell wiring was completely removed by a previous owner. The existing button is not in a convient place to rerun wiring to the front door. Another wireless model they installed kept eating up batteries and lasted no more than a week or two at a time. This great unit doesn't require fussing with wires or batteries at all!! The base unit is plugged into a wall outlet about 15 feet away from the door and has no problem detecting a push of the newly installed button. The push button is a bit large (about 2x2 inches), but it works for the spot. The base unit has 3 volume levels and an off mode. It can be a little loud on the high level, but that might be needed in some cases. There is a second button used to cycle thru a bunch of different sounds. I didn't have a list or know what they were, so I just had to cycle thru all of them to find something I liked. Not too difficult to figure out if you are patient in cycling thru. If you pass the sound you like, then you have to cycle around again. So far the button has worked in almost direct sunlight, heat, dampness (rain mist), and cooler temps but I haven't tested it in the winter. Based on its performance so far, I would say this will last for some time and continue to work as needed.

Stopped working after a couple months no idea why! I meant to change my review because Guess what it started to work again. I guess the hard winter we had must have froze the ringer for a bit and it started to ring again.
