Well written and insightful
TDI training manuals have a reputation for being, well, less than helpful. Viewed in that light, the Advanced Wreck Diving manual is a breath of fresh air. Written in an engaging format, it relays useful information in an entertaining and non-formulaic way. It is definitely not a "how-to" and only really works in conjunction with the course, but it is a definitely leap ahead of certain other TDI manuals. The obvious point of comparison is with Gary Gentile's leading work: The Advanced Wreck Diving Guide. The TDI manual is shorter, but it omits a lot of very tangential material that pads out Gentile's book. The books differ in their approaches too (Gentile prefers to the "progressive penetration" technique, which TDI admonishes as being "fairytale diving"). The serious wreck diver probably wants both.

TDI is not my organisation of choice, this book is a good intro though
It is a good intro IF u understand tech diving. I do not like TDIs solodiving mentality but there are some good info here.
