Trains wind instrumentalists and vocalists to use their breath energy more efficiently. The Breath Builder is outstanding for anyone wishing to greatly improve breath control, lung capacity and health. The Breath Builder helps you develop your diaphragmatic breathing. (The procedure is to keep the ping pong ball at the top of the cylinder during both inhale and exhale). Repeated use allows you to improve your body's ability to take in a larger amount of air, replenishing your bloodstream with oxygen. When you breathe correctly you revitalize every cell in your body. Professional athletes, singers and musicians have always included diaphragmatic breathing in their training, now you can too.

Why I bought a Breath Builder
I bought a breath builder because I have just started to learn to play the flute. Playing the flute requires a great deal of air. I am an older adult student so my lung capacity isn't that of a child. Since starting to use it I have already noticed a difference in how long I can play without taking a breath. I love the way it dismantles for easy cleaning. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to play a wind instrument or needs to increase their lung capacity for health reasons.

Breath Builder Isometric Exerciser
The Breath Builder arrived in record time, and If I hadn't already been familiar with it's purpose, I would have been lost.....There were no instructions on which port to blow into, or which size tube did what for breath control. Do I use it for inhaling, or exhaling? How often, or how long should it be used each time? It would have been nice for a small instruction sheet ... but the product is simply made and it took me almost an hour to figure out how to use it. I already have improvement in my singing voice and breath control. I even sent an email to the vendor with my complaints and all I got in return was a complete product catalog of all their musical instruments and other items they sell. All in all - - I still believe my money was well-spent.Harry Rhodes

Nice device, seems to work as advertised.
For those of you that can't find instructions on how to use this device I found the following at the Woodwind and Brasswind website. [...]Used properly and regularly, the Breath Builder will increase the amount of air you inhale and can use in a wind instrument. It will enable you to increase the volume and pressure of air you use while playing. This should result in increased volume and greater control. At all times, attempt to take in and expel the largest amount of air you possibly can. This will often entail using your abdominal and some other muscles more complete than you ever have before.Leaving all holes open, raise the ball and keep it suspended while you inhale and exhale thoroughly through the Breathe Builder for one or two minutes.Take a break of thirty seconds to one minute (or longer if needed.).Close the large hole and repeat process described in number 1 above.Take another break of similar length or as needed. With all holes open, raise the ball to its suspended stand and close the large and one small hole while keeping the ball suspended as in 1 and 2 above. Continue the inhalation/exhalation process for one to two minutes with the hole closed. Because of the greater pressure required both inhaling and exhaling with the large and one small hole closed, this configuration is the most valuable to increased breath control.Stop using the Breath Builder and rest any time that you feel dizzy or become disoriented. This is the result of taking in more oxygen than your body is used to handling. This condition will abate you as you use the Breath Builder regularly. If you take a break of two or more hours, use the Breath Builder again (as above) at the beginning of your practice session.

Build Up Your Breath!
This is the original design that I have used for over 20 years. I just bought a replacement and am quite pleased with it. A well designed product, wrapping, and shipping were great. I highly recommend!

An important tool for success in playing wind instruments.
I can't explain the whole process here, but this is a unique and really essential tool for any wind player, especially brass players. I make sure all my students have one. They are hard to find and there are no discounts that I have found. Worth the money, no mater what.
